Wow, no discussion on this one? Rick seems to be trying to up the anti to get people out. And look at the ace pot. Several ace run holes on this course. Who, besides me, has registered? The course was looking nice today. Hopefully, we'll have the same weather next Saturday. Got a players list, Rick?

That one seems real sketchy. A few years ago 517 was the longest for <16 and 178.9 is almost 600ft and stokely finally broke that barrier in 96'(?)
Roz and Gun are going to play and I plan to take the Ace pot down. :)

Great tournament, and outstanding weather.
Ace pot ended up being over $700.
Kieth Russom hit an ace on #18 during the first round with a short side-arm flick.
Then during the second round on our card, Scott Rozanski hit the 333' #17 with a beautiful skip ace with a Pro Starfire.
Not sure who the winners were, as I hit the road as soon as I turned in my scorecard (yeah, it was that bad for me today).

I am working on it, but don't let that keep you away. Sanctioning acctually costs your purse so you can get points. No points (that really are meaning less, you can go to worlds with any amount of points) increases your purse by $2 minimum per person. You also get an updated rating, but isn't a $2000 ace pot a little more tmepting than a rating?

Gotta jump in...Chris - looking at your weekend results I wish ya woulda come on down! :o (I'm sure you could keep up w/ my 3 under second round!)
Jim - wish you could have made it as well.
What's up - 4 open players...2 drove in from San Marcos.
The Conroe course is a sweet 'lil course. Rick does a great job running things. (May have been running a bit late but no complaints from here - he has a good support team, arrives early to set up, caters to the players and once again put in a 15 hour day so we could have fun...thanks)
MaceMan - sanctioning - who cares - $2,000 - see ya at Bear Creek!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Great shooting Dan Fisler. What is it about dogs. The winners of the Open and Masters divisions both had their dog in tow. Next time I'm bringing my mutt... ;)

At Shawshank the barking dogs were really annoying, and it was one of the dogs who showed up on Saturday.
I know that it bothered me to try and put with a cranky barking dog, I can imagine how the other open guys on that card felt.

He did'nt bark during the round. (ask any of the players on the card) He only barks when I tie him up & leave him alone.
Sorry if he distracted you while playing...the open cards were done a good half hour ahead of your card. I tied him up & went off to try to retreive a disc out of the water. This is when he was barking.

My dog comes w/ me to the little one day C-tiers. If I tie him up he will be FAR more distracting...barking the whole time. When with me he does'nt bark.
I tried tieing him up at Tyler a couple years ago and he barked the whole time so now I board him for any B tier & above.
In the case of last weekend...I made up 25% of the open division. Which is better - play w/ my dog in tow for a small event or not show?
For the record...I am against dogs running loose on the course during rounds. I am against dogs that chase & chew peoples plastic. If my dog did either of these things I'd not bring him.
