4 man scramle at Chandler?
Are you playing the safari layout?

I only know 1 county employee.

Or at least 1 that will admit it.

Oct 30 2006, 04:38 PM
leave it to the united way to get the county employees out there. Just hang out around hole 1, throw a couple of birdies, maybe an ace and I'm sure a team will pick you up.

4 man scramble at Chandler?
I bet a -18 wins it.
sschumacher
Oct 30 2006, 05:28 PM
I'm sure some of these teams will be made up of a County Park member and his/her family members or fellow employee's. Most of them probably first timers. Thus the 4 man scramble on this course for them might be competitive. I will be taking some mini's and a few discs to give away as prizes. Hopefully some of you fellow members might be willing to donate cash or plastic to this good cause as well.
I think anyone interested should show up and we'll create a pool of TDSA members of which the County employees could "draft" from if needed. Naturally as course pro I'll be the number one draft pick but I'm sure some people like Wise and Regier would get picked somewhere in the 10th or 12th round. :o......If Pat Hatch doesn't mind maybe we could get some type of challege team made up of 4 tdsa members with some special goal or handicap to make it fair for everyone else. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif...I want to make sure the county parks employees know we appreciate all they do for us.
I'll try and get more info posted by Wednesday. Anyone wanting to donate something, let me know. :)
twoputtok
Oct 30 2006, 05:29 PM
It will take a -19 or -20 to win it. -18 will just get you a tie. :o

Ok. I just got off the phone with Pat Hatch with Tulsa County Parks. She trying to get an idea of how many of our people might be showing up so she will know how much food to cook.
She said she is cooking Greek chicken and some other goodies for lunch. Sounds good to me.
This is only a one round event with lunch afterwards. She's got 3 teams so far and she willing to open it up to us but we need a fairly accurate head count. According to her Kevin was bringin out some stuff to donate as I will be also. Sounds like there may already be some ringers in those existing groups so we need some TDSA members to step up and form a challenge team of 4 guys who can bring in a -18......Who's up for it? ;)

7 teams all together. Probably more TDSA members than park employees. Everyone had fun and ate Greek chicken. More than $350 dollars raised for United Way. :)
1st place went to Team Magilla Gorilla consisting of:
Big Dave
Little Dave
Mike Barr
& some other guy I can't remember.
Mike Barr aced # 13 on his first throw.
The team finished 1st with a -19. :o.....Nice shooting guys.
