The Fribee Golf game was extremely lame when it came out on PC. The Innove Disc Golf game was miles better, and most people don't like that one.

I really did.

The graphics of the Innova Disc Golf game were the best of any virtual disc golf game. The elevation changes, trees/forests, water hazards, and wildlife noises were stunning. There were doglegs and multi-shot holes and some of the courses, if existing in real life, would be the best in the world.

The flight patterns of the discs were scary accurate. The Banshee was overstable and didn't go as far, the Cheetah was a little flippy, making a beautiful S curve and going the farthest, with the Eagle and T-Bird in between. A Roc flew about 350 feet max on a tight line, and the Aero was your straight-line putter. I think the other disc choices included: Stingray (although not as a roller) Gazelle, Aviar, Rhyno, and Panther.

This game could also be configured to be HARD. The swing meter would come around so fast that hitting the line was frustratingly difficult. The Wooden Bridge course featured almost predominantly two-shot par four holes with tall trees preventing you from going up and over everything. If you played the Pro setting and didn't use mulligans, a score of 54 was REALLY tough to achieve on that course.

I'll admit that the "hokey" part of the game was that on some of the courses that featured more open shots, 600 foot holes were reachable, and what was really silly was that you could throw that far both backhand or sidearm (!)

A final fun feature were the stock comments that would be triggered in the game. If you had a great drive that left you in putting range, a sarcastic voice was heard:

Looks Like I have a shot at birdie!

And if you way overthrew the basket, that sarcastic tone would come at you with:

Nice one, Gorilla Boy!

There were some other good ones when you made early or late release, or when you threw it in the water. It wasn't perfect, but it was still the best virtual disc golf game ever made.

The Innova game was pretty good.

I had to shut the voices off. They drove me crazy.

I like the Innova game. Unfortuntely there were a lot of people who only wanted the latest EA Sports Tiger Woods level of graphics.

It was in the $5 bin at Walmart within 3 weeks of release, which means it had absolutely zero sell-through. That history makes it extremely unlikely that a new disc golf game will ever get developed. The game referenced in this post originally looks like a port of the old Wham-O games that were awful.

It's funny.... I've seen that Innova game go for decent money on ebay. By decent I mean $10-$15 region.

I believe you're referring to 'Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz' which has a Disc Golf mini game.

Has anyone played this yet? Anyone want to give a review? I'm looking for a Wii right now, I can't believe they are still out of stock pretty much everywhere

its sad that we're still not recognized as an independent sport and have to be coupled with freestyle and monkeys. :(
