I'm looking forward to seeing the pro scoring spread at New Quarter. I don't think we'll see many scores below 50.

Oct 27 2006, 09:06 AM
I wasn't planning on coming, but now that I hear there is a new course (Which would be number 90 for me) combined with having that Friday off....may make the trip up to NN this year afterall!

august
Oct 27 2006, 09:12 AM
It will be well worth your time. The pros will not be playing the short tees at NN. Instead, they'll play both tees at New Quarter, then the long tees at NN, a better test of their skills. No more BirdieFest.

do you have estimation of the SSA's at New Quarter?

august
Oct 27 2006, 09:26 AM
I don't, but I bet Biscoe could give us a guesstimate since he was a part of my design team. Par has been established from the blue tees at 62.

John........?

do you have estimation of the SSA's at New Quarter?

Blues 54, Whites 49 with eventual course records around 46 & 42

august
Oct 27 2006, 10:34 AM
A 42 seems a bit optimistic, but stranger things have happened I suppose. Let's see what Schwebby shoots.

ck34
Oct 27 2006, 10:46 AM
I'm not saying those records will be shot at the event but at some point. Since they only get one shot at each layout, I think a 49 from the Blues could be the hot score.

august
Oct 27 2006, 10:48 AM
Yeah, I'm with ya on that! And a 49 from the blues would be an incredibly hot score IMO.

Last year we had 27 pros total, but because there were over 100 players overall, everybody was in 5-somes. This year, with New Quarter DGC available, we should be able to have 3-somes since pros and ams will be split between the two courses.

Closest to Newport News Park is the Mulberry Inn, about 5-10 minutes drive. 757-887-3000.

Closest to New Quarter Park is most likely Days Inn Williamsburg East at 201 Water Country Parkway. This is right next to Interstate 64, at the same interchange you take to get to New Quarter. 757-253-6444

I understand some of this computer generated mumbo-jumbo (spell check please, Chris) but I'm really not good out of my zone. In the past I just fill out the scores, copy and paste and magically the stuff shows up on the web page. The only thing I didn't like was not being able to play a couple holes before my round on Sunday (as soon as the ams were finished 2 minutes was called) other than that it was a great tournament and I enjoyed both courses.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with Mark Jackson #3411 from Arlington, please have him contact John Roy or myself.

He got an ace on Hole #9 at New Quarter but he didn't collect his reward!!!

Try contacting Naved...I think he has that number...

Now you just have to get Naved's number.
