Emory, Virginia has a new 18 hole disc golf course on the campus of Emory & Henry college. I heard it was installed in late summer 06 and opened in September at the beginning of this fall semester. I have played the course twice and it is a fun little corse with a mix of tightly wooded and open holes, plus elevation changes. I would love to get others opinions and find out more about the development of the course.

Anyone for helping to start a club or league?

That's always good news to hear about the establishment of another new course. :) Especially somewhat close to home.

It sounds as though all I'm going to need is my putter? :D

Congrats to all who got things started though! They all can't be as kick #$*&$! as Ashe Park right away. :D :p Atleast you have 18 holes done. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Who are Emory and Henry anyways?

Alls I can tell you is they are a couple of VERY Old Timers that decided to found a private college in northern Washington County, Virginia way back in 1836. /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif If you really want to know more follow this link: http://www.ehc.edu/about/history.html
Does anyone know this fellow Brian Bland, who is listed as the course contact on the directory page?

Although the course's total length isn't much; it is very challenging. I have played nearly 100 courses all over the US and Canada so I have some frame of reference. I think my best is still even par! :(

Has anyone else played at this corse? How was it?
