So here's the deal. Next Wed, Thur, Fri, I am in San Francisco ----- with my wife in a conference, my day's free, and a rental car. Poor me.

I need recommendations on 3 day trips. I'll campaign for someone to play after I nail down the plan.

1. De Laveaga -- Yep
2. Ukiah??
3. Dunno??

Thanks,
Ron Pittman

2. Stafford http://stafforddiscgolf.blogspot.com/
3. Ukiah is fun....three courses in town
4. Lakeport I'd pick this over Ukiah....but only one course. Incredible though....thanks Ed!

Ron....let me know when/if you headed up to stafford. I'd be happy to show you around.

Nick,
You have a PM. You talked me into Stafford.
And, well... any course that Chuck says to play will always get my interest!

Hmm. Still looking for a local guide for De La. Either Wed or Thur. (as in whichever day left after Nick picks)

Thanks,
Ron Pittman

So far the Cali Crew is taking care of me.

Wednesday with Nick and others at Stafford Lake, the Novato Gem.

This Thursday at 10 am at De La. Looking for local guide, greater guru, or lesser guru. You know I'll buy lunch.

Thanks,
Ron Pittman

Great courses. Great hosts.

Thanks to Nick and Tom for showing me the way at Stafford Lake. 2 rounds worth!! If you are anywhere near SF, this is a must play course. Comma, but. Don't try it alone. You will get lost and never get past the rough terrain on the first 3 holes. BTW, I love the first 3 holes, but am still out of breath from getting to them.

I enjoyed it so much that I went back on Friday for another round. I took my son, who only plays about twice a year. He played rather well and enjoyed it. Notice that I haven't mentioned how well I played. Oh, and Tom took us around this time, too. AND he made some beautiful birds.

Ahh. De Laveaga!! A gem. A classic. Thanks to Flynn and Sean for allowing me to play with them. Great hosts and perfect guides. I hope they were paying attention as I taught them how to turn spectacular drives into bogeys.

These guys serve to remind us all to be the ambassador on the course (and in the parking lot) instead of the selfish jerk.

I'm glad I ran into the former and not the latter.

Thanks, gentlemen.

Sweet overhead photos of the course online now.

There is one with a "side" angle that shows the elevation changes very nicely... :D
