Well time change is upon us .
Its time for Putt Night @ Z-Boaz .
The first official Putt Night will be the thursday before the VPO. For all of you Pro's out there planning on coming in on Friday, you might want to change your schedule. Why???

The putt night " Putt Pot " should be starting somewhere in the ball park of 1300.00 american dollars.

All players are welcome, Brain Mace and myself are hoping that this will be a nice little warm up for the VPO. This is a winner take all format. It will be double elimination style of play. Jay Reading currently holds the record @ 82 points of a possible 110.

I can promise that there will be a good number of locals in attendance.

For those whom may need additional info, please p.m. me and we can go over the details.

There also should be one or two frosty beverages circulating about, always a good time.

Registration starts @ 6:30, seeding should commence around 7.

Be there or be square, I am thinking that the " Yeti " and his lovely wife should be there. Along with the likes of Chris Flesner, Nolan Grider , JD, Giggler ,and many other DFW pro's .

Keep in mind that Am's and Pros will all compete together.
Should be interesting.

Hope to see you there!

Just a warm up for the VPO.

I think we are going to bump the entry to 10 bucks to sweeten the deal. Furthest station is approx 40-50 feet.

It will be a good spectator event also!

station 1 is 15ft, station 10 is 60ft.

82 points is the record out of a possible 110. You can miss your first 9 putts and still win $1300! :D

83 IS A TALL ORDER! Especially when you have the pressure of putting with a deep field! I promise a good time!
If we can get the city to replace the light bulb in the parking lot, we will have 4 stations to help keep this a timely event!

Hmmm-how long does it take to change a light bulb?

First ya have to have get the work order actually written. Then it has to be in the budget. After 3 engineers go for a look (during the daylight hours) they will determine that they'll have to send another crew after hours to check the light output. Sometime in following few days (if your complaint reaches the correct person) will the bulb actually be changed.

Z-Boaz Park, red-headed step child of the Ft Worth Parks Department.
We ( the locals ) actually take the time to move garbage from all over the course ( that is a lot of work ) , to the parking lot. Every friday, they are supposed to pick it up.
I have actually witnessed the parks dept. drive into the parking lot, turn right around and leave when they saw the amount of garbage we had moved. These people are lazy.

Tonight is the night, make sure that you are there before 6:30 to begin seeding. I bumped into CHris Sprague last night , Jay and Des will be there, Barry is in town , and a bunch of locals will be gunning @ that money . Will it be you?
For those of you that are new to this , seriously , you have a chance to compete with TOP pros from across the country, all you have to do is come out!

Hope to see you there.

This also makes for a great spectator event!

so is this for the $$$ that you guys have raised over the last few months? if so I would be pretty PI$$ED if I have been contributing and now some touring pro comes and takes it. just my 2 cents .. which is not worth much :D

You aint the only one who feels that way. :(

Mace hides the ace pot from us all year long, and then puts up the money that we, the locals, put in the ace pot up for these world class putters to take it all with out puting anything into the pot or the course fund which is another sour point to z-boaz locals.

Congrats to Chris Flesner for the Wire to wire victory.
There was some good competition last night, as Chris shut down current record holder Jay " YETI " Reading , not once but twice, handing him his only 2 losses of the night.
Chris shot the hot round of 59 for the night and was undefeated in this match play format! . The putt pot was not even close to being challanged. Thanks to all that came out, it was a good time. And I think our out of town guests learned just how the z-boaz locals roll!!!! Three of the last 4 were course locals! Way to represent guys. Also, Super DIsc Golf Diva and 3 time world champion Des Reading was treated to an early evening slumber , compliments of Andres Pizana and Mike Judge.

Thanks to all whom came out!
