I don't know if it's the ESP plastic or the disc itself, but I bought two pulses last week and they are nowhere near comperable to TeeRexs. They are flippier than my Wraiths, probably closer to an Orc in stability. I'm so disappointed. I was going to use them for forehand, 300'-330', but they don't come back as quickly as I need them to. Wraiths already have the distance...

Has anyone else had these go understable quickly or the ESP plastic not lasting long? I was really happy to hear about them (I generally like discraft plastic), but they just aren't going to fit the bill for me. I wish I could get my money back...

I only threw them 2-3 times when people were trying out my infernos the other day. They were a little understable for mee but not bad. We were all out in a field just throwing for distance when I tried them. They were ok but the Inferno still bombs farther.

I agree with all that they do flip real for me, and I would put it closer to a wraith than an orc, cause it is real fast I think Surges are just as stable as the Pulse.

The pulse I have is pretty overstable still... it might not be that beat up but it's still usable for long hyzers...

The ones I'm talking about I played with them for 3 rounds, that's it. They could not handle ANY wind and handle only some snap by hyzering the crap out of them. Plus, they couldn't handle the speed of my forehand (no, my forehands don't wobble, so don't lecture me about off-axis torque... :p)

I guess I could use them for long hyzers if I threw them w/ a bunch of hyzer and high, but that's not what they were billed as!

Daniel

PS--Thanks, John! You are the man! :D

A couple of the Pulses I have are slightly understable at high speeds, like an Orc or a Surge. The are light blue and max weight. I don't like these either, they basically fly like a slower Surge (yes, the Surge is definetely faster than the Pulse) that doesn't go as far. That being said, I have a white max weight Pulse that is a stable pig. The white one I like better than a Teerex.

Anyone else notice that the white ESP plastic is by far the most overstable? I've had a Surge, Pulse, and Avenger in the white are they were all the most stable representatives of their respective molds I've thrown.

Yep, these were light blue or duck egg blue...

John Maiuro (My_Hero) really proved to be a great representative for Discraft. After posting my original complaint, he promptly mailed (overnight) two replacement discs, free of charge, in exchange for the defective discs. What a good feeling to get this kind of service. You have earned at least one extra customer from that transaction! I highly encourage any of you that read this to use John's shop for all of your disc golfing needs. (No, I'm not sponsored by him, nor do I have any interests in his company...) Thanks so much!

Thanks gents. It was my one act of kindness for the year...... :D

Mom always said "it's important to voice your opinion" and the cliche line "it never hurts to ask." Enjoy the discs Daniel.

Just for the record, i do not have/own a store. I just have a really good connection for your favorite Discraft products. :DShoot me a PM if you are looking for anything in particular.

I've found the white ESP to be more overstable too. I cannot straighten out my white Surge. It flies much more overstable than my orange Surge.

The white ESP Pulse is the only color I've found to really be overstable. I threw one of CR Willey's orange ones and it was straight with no turn, but it still didn't fade much. Blue flip just like Surges....By the way, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FIRST RUN ESP SURGE PLASTIC? Man that plastic was sweet. All other ESP is far inferior in terms of durability and flight. It really sucks when a company touts a new plastic, comes out with a flagship model that is awesome, and then they sell us something else called ESP but is NOT the same. My first run Surge got thrown for months, taking all sorts of pavement and direct tree hits and barely flew any different, let alone showing any gauges. I got a new ESP Surge and could tell right away it had a lot more X plastic in the mix. It didn't seem to fly quite as well and it was definetely more overstable. Sure enough, the first time it landed in a rocky area two larges gauges were taken out of the bottom of the wing. The first run ESP was the best plastic out there, better than Star. This new stuff is less durable than Star. Please influence as you can to keep Discraft plastic BETTER than Innova's. Thanks.

Dooh! If you don't have a store, you have access to some sweet plastic! =) The Avenger and the Pred fit the bill perfectly for what I need...

Now, you don't happen to have an extra 50 feet for my forehand drives laying around that you don't need, do you? :D

I called once for assistance with a bag question unrelated to ripping or seams. They were very helpful and commited to good service in this and one other time I called them with a question.

I've never had any luck dealing with Innova and every year I replace more of my throwing stock with Discraft (love that Buzzz) and been putting with Gateway....I got horror storys but am letting by gones be by gones. I am telling all the players I know that ask how I feel and I stock and sell Discraft more avidly then Innova.....they are WAY TOO BIG to concern themselves with a shrimp like me......

Innova has since replaced Mark's ripped bag and sent a box of Star plastic to him free of charge for the trouble.
