The tentative release date is December 2, 2006. I think they will cost $16 plus shipping and handling (cheaper if you played in the tournament or are a Skylands Flying Disc Club member).

The DVD will feature:
full round coverage of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds - top 2 cards plus women
extras including: great putts, drives, "bloopers", CTP, etc
commentary by Steve Brinster and John DeBois

Jen has done a remarkable job with the available resources. We were lucky enough to borrow enough camcorders for the event and get 7 people to donate their weekend to do the filming, in the rain.

The filming came out great and Jen has already put in countless hours reviewing tape and editing.

The DVD is gonna be awesome!! Buying a copy would be a great way to support the event that so many people put so much time into.

I can give you lots of reasons!

If I can make a little bit of money from this DVD, I will be able to rent enough cameras next year so that I can get good coverage of the Master's lead card. I feel horrible about it, trust me.

Ohh, you want to see *you* on the DVD... . I thought you wanted to see the Masters division. Ehhhh, I would stay in Masters anyway and hope we get enough cameras ... your score this year would have put you on the 6th card in open ... doubt we'll get enough cameras to go that deep! :o:o
If so, sweet, i'll rent a few extra so someone could film me on the 8th card! :D

Matt, trust me, Jen tried to do whatever it took to film all divisions but with limited cameras/volunteers and Jenkins,Scwebb, Yeti etc. on the second card it was a tough call ....

John's commenatary is hilarious! I laugh out loud all day as I edit....

I have had zero success trying to get the windows media player version up. So, right now you need to have quicktime to watch the video. Quicktime is a great player, and I wouldn't ask you to download just to watch my 2 minute video, but if you wanted to, I would say it's not a bad idea.

This is the quicktime (free download) for PC's. It is definately safe and vius free because it is offered on the Apple website.

In the meantime, I will continue to work on that windows media player version. I had it up a few weeks ago but a few people told me it still wasn't working.

That would be me. It was an amatuerish endeavor but I did capture some unique footage with my little Sony camera. I also have DVDs of the Champ shooting the Gran Canyon in Brooksville Florida in Feb of 2006 and the lead card/final round of the Players Cup 2005. Raw footage waitning to be edited (during the long cold Chicago winter) include DGLO lead card/final round, Brent Hambrick lead card/final round and Final 9, Michiana Open final nine....and various excerpts....

I would be cool with a swap. Are yours available? PM me your info and I will send mine back.... I haven't really been at it a while....I got to play in the Players Cup last year and had my 13 yr old disc golfin' son fly down for the week-end. He video'd my first round and I shot pretty poorly (haven't even viewed the footage yet). My tee times the next 2 days were pretty early and I noticed a lack of videographers so I took my baby Sony camera and a beat up tripod and did the shoot. I've done some disc golf video shoots before so I had a small idea of what I was doing. My main goal was to get every shot of the group I was following....I like to see how they get their scores. I whipped the footage into a DVD and put some cool music to it. I'm thinking about doing the commentater thing on my next ones and could probably redo the Players but that will take some time....

The release date for the Skylands Classic DVD was pushed back several days. I will have a shopping cart option on my website in a few days. People who preorder their DVDs online will receive them before the end of the year. Thanks!
