I don't know about you guys but I am starting to crave some Copperhead Canyon.

Anybody know when the YMCA season ends so our CC season can begin ???

Well...nice turnout...

Copperhead is coming up quickly on my list of Tulsa courses to hit on my Wednesday trips. What's the story behind it, it's only open to play at certain times of the year? Any info is appreciated

During the Summer it's a full time Summer camp and they won't let ANYONE inside the facility without doing a background check on them....plus kids are running around in the woods all the time where the course is so it does not work out for the DG'ers.

During the Fall/Winter months it is open for play at $5 per head which you can pay at the front desk located in the gymnasium's south office.

I would recommend first timers play the course with someone who know's it, you can get turned around pretty easy back there.

Also, I believe there is still one basket missing out there on hole 7.

Sorry Jake, I did not have the guts to tell you face to face how bad you smell.

I recommend bathing in a pool of honey and pine needles.

I ve never played it hear it a nice course though. Any tourny's held out there?

so, is copperhead open now? This is a Tulsa Wednesday for me, and it's either Copperhead or Haikey Creek. Copperhead would be closer to 130-145, Haikey at 1 .

Yes, but I would not play Copperhead for atleast another few weeks, maybe even longer. I guarantee that place looks really hairy right now.

The Canyon is not ready for play......after the Double O, I'll get out there and get it ready for play.

yeah, it was pretty rough, and #1 is missing in addition to #7, but I found my way around with not too much trouble. #14's tee sign is sitting on 15's pad...that was wierd. But, that's a cool course.

Yes, it's $5 still. My 150 sidewinder is in the little pond in the middle of 4. Had NO idea that pond was there, the map from the office made it look like the shot was over the island, and THAT was the circle on the map. DOH!

Cool course, and it's nice to see something that makes the former Ted's Dread look manicured!! Don't change a thing to the terrain, though..it's great!

If anyone is willing to lend a hand this weekend, Andrew Treat and myself are going out to Westside YMCA to beat the course back and get it back ready for play.

I went out there a few weeks ago and it's not in that bad of shape. I'm planning on planting 3 new baskets so that it will be permanant 18 out there.

I have chainsaw and brushcutter, if anyone wanted to bring a lawnmower or weedeater that would be awesome.

Last time I played paintball I tripped on a log and broke my big toe while trying to move to a better position. Then some guy came up and shot me in the head and then tried to apoligize by telling me he was aiming for my ash. :confused: :(

And I think Copperhead is looking okay. Obviously there are a ton of leaves on the ground, but the holes I saw were playable.

I was only there for two holes, and didn't really help any...

..but it was good to see some of that course...

...hole #17 is still one of the coolest holes in Tulsa.

18 holes are in the ground

the course is still rough I would give a C- if I had to grade playabliity.

There are TONS of leaves so if you go out there keep an eye on your shot.

I'm planning on one more weekend out there to finish it off and it should be good to play in about a week.

Yes, there is a big money skins match but it was discussed as being at McClure as it has been in the past.

I would like Blackhawk but I'm afraid it will severly limit the number of players. McClure or Dovillio may bring out the biggest numbers.
