It's that time of year again ... time for GLOW discs!

I'm thinking about getting a hand held LED, or maybe a hand held Black Light. Does anyone have any recommendations. Of course, it needs to be cheap!

This is the best idea I have never heard before 2 days ago. I am stealing this from JAnttila actually:

Go to Walgreen's or anywhere you can get disposable cameras developed. Ask someone at the developing counter if they have any used disposables. Then they give you a bag full of cameras with lots of flash left. It's just trash to them.
You just slam the bottom of the camera into your palm to get them to flash.
Handheld blacklights work good, but they are $15.

"Lindy" bobber lights....the only way to fly, you dont have to partially blind yourself (flash), they dont fade out like a glow disc and you can see them thru 6 inches of snow

This is the one I use, works great, no problems!

Those cheapy-ones don't work as well, and break easily.

Enjoy!

$4 plus shipping!?

Your local Academy should have the Lindy-Thills for about $2.50 a pop.

No doubt, bobber lights are the way go. Glow discs are cool but they wear out over time, you have to recharge them during rounds, and they don't look nearly as cool lighting up a basket after an ace. :D

For those that do use the bobber lights, what kind of tape do you use? I have found electrical tape works the best, especially in the snow. Snow crystals would get in the cracks when I had tried duct tape.

I use Gorilla Tape and it has worked well this summer.

I generally use duct tape and it works quite well, but I think clear packing tape is even better.

I've found duct tape works best if I'll be changing lights disc to disc, otherwise, I use electrical tape...make an "X"

If you want a durable way to attach lights through the winter, NOTHING beats automotive goop. you put 1 drop on, set the light on it, then put a bead over everything but the tip. Takes 24 hours to set up, and pliers can remove it. Played all winter with 1 light on a buzzz this way.

the waterproof plastic tape from nextcare seems to be the thing we all use around here.

Its cheap waterproof flexiable and it is easily removable and will re-stick for several applications. I have a led taped to my mini Seems like this time of year I end up using the light for the last few holes most evenings I have probally taped and re-taped it 30 times so far with the same two strips of tape.
