We have applied for PDGA sanctioning as a C-tier and Dave Gentry said he didn't see a problem if I could get the paperwork in asap. Done...

All non-PDGA members will now have to pay $5.00 unless they join the PDGA before the tournament. You will be able to join the day of as well.

Sorry Kirk...
Yes the tourney will be at Gillies ...like WHERE we play matters ... whoops .... I put it on the flyer and haven't posted that yet as we are making some last minute changes. I will post the exact details next week as soon as I know what's up with the sanctioning, This all came together at the last minute with a generous offer from CAC (Citizens Against Crime) to partner up for a tourney. Since River City just formed its new club, we jumped on the chance to hold an event with a kick arse payout considering its a one day...

Also- to answer John-
iNCUBATE is a warehouse/art studio at 3412 W. Leigh St. over by VCU. Its owned by the executive director of CAC and they are hosting the party.

cheers-

It's Gillies Creek as all have assumed. I may be listed as the TD on the Tour page but i'm just a figureHEAD being used to increase attendance.

It already appears to be well organized and it's nice to have some new enthusiasm in the Richmond area.

poor posting strartegy, that could have been a legal double post and could ahve recieved an extra post towards your post count, so I guess you'll be happy with your 643, trailing my 5,941 by 5,298.

This also means I post 9.24 times when you have posted once.

I may suck at spelling, but I can do some math!

I am not concerned with my post count.

And there is no "may suck" about it.

Your command of the English language is amazing.

Please remind me what you went to ECU for?

Journalism

And I'm getting ready to go back to school for a semester and the summer to get a teaching license to teach high school English.

Don't send your kids my way.

John,

Touche'!!!

However, I was not pointing out his grammatical errors. Of which there are many.

And, I was a math major. My command of the English language is tenuous at best.

Ok kids-
Here is a link to the flyer. There are some significant changes, and the info on the flyer trumps anything previously posted on the PDGA or our club's website.

The Flyer:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rivercitydiscgolf/files/

This will NOT be a PDGA event. Sorry if that causes anyone to opt out, but if so, please reconsider. We're a new club (like 2 weeks old) and started the tourney planning too late to get all our ducks in a row with the PDGA. But I guarantee this will still be a quality one day event worth your attendance.

Our main goal is to get Richmond golfers to come out and play, as well as introduce you all to Richmond's Citizens Against Crime (www.cacrichmond.org). This is an awesome organization that is doing some amazing things here in River City, and they have BIG plans for the future where disc golf is concerned. All proceeds (after 100% payout and the $1,000 added cash!!!!) go to CAC. If for no other reason, play this tournament because you'll be doing something fantastic for our fabulous city.

We WILL provide child care at the course during the tournament and are trying to also arrange the same for the players' party. Please email me ([email protected]) if you will need the babes attended to ...

Sponsorships available starting at $35.00. I'll post a link for that asap. We also encourage all Richmong disc golfers to join the club. More info on that to follow (check out the club link on the PDGA website.)

River City Disc Golf Club: www.iamwhois.com (http://www.iamwhois.com)

That's all for now. Email me at [email protected] for more info on any of the above.

Cheers~
