Thanks to the Ukiah Disc Golf Club for hosting the NorCal championships! You guys did a great job. Special thanks to Neal Hoellworth, Mustang Harris, Steve Ganz, Matt Kelly, Rob Byers (and Mary Beth), Michael Travers, and the other on-site TDs.

The free camping at Che-Ka-Ka was excellent. The free lunch on Saturday was great (Thanks Ukiah DGC), and the cookout Sunday PM (Kevin Royal and his crew were great!) was awesome.

The three courses were fun--and I highly recommend the College course. The wind makes it quite exciting...

Congratulations to all the 2006 champions and all the players.

So who is going to the USDGC from norcal? Is Mr. Neal going with his state rep exemption or is it socal's turn to use that?

Hi Jonah and Kenny,

Missed both you guys at NorCal! I left before the doubles were finally handed out, but I don't think anyone shot better than Gregg Barsby and Myles Harding. They were in my group, and except for a poor start, they killed the course, shooting 20 down in 27 holes. Myles aced #15 (his second of the weekend) with a 325 ft hyzer to a blind pin. Very cool.

Skins had 3 groups of 4, and they went WAY down the list to fill it up since so few pros showed up. With $250 up for grabs per group, it made for exciting golf!

I did not hear anything about rookies of the year. I didn't even know there was such a thing for the NorCal series. If there is such a thing, then Staci Pauly definitely should win in the female open category, I think Jere Eshelman wins in open (I think he's a rookie), and Chris Addiego is a great choice too, and Doug Werner definitely would win RoY for masters open.

Looking forward to the 2007 season!
