Dont forget boys and girl's, next Saturday the 9th, Brian Mace will be hosting the North Texas Series Final Skins Match. If you have played 5 of the North Texas Series events, you are automatically qualified, less the ace pot.
This will be a great time, and an awesome opportunity to put some cash in your pocket. You do not have to be qualified to play, you will be able to pay an entry fee to compete for skins.
Format is as follows , the first nine holes, you will seed.
According to how you play, your skins value for the remainder of the day will vary. If you seed well, your skins value will be higher. If you dont , it will be much lower!
Brian Mace should be on this thread sometime today to post those whom qualify.
Hope to see you there, I could use the money :D

depending on you division the enrty is no more than 40 dollars, plus the ace pot. Please reference maceman.com
for all the details. I can promise that it will be a good time. Plus, Mace has a bunch o' goodies from his recent travels. My favorite is the double stamp USDGC cahmpion roc's. I suggest you show up early to register, and secure a
decent parking spot. I have a feeling that the turnout might suprise a couple people! These skins will not disappoint anybody!

What's your new mini driver, and who's to say Nolan is playing. He's a hard working hombre these days?
Easy, I doubt Nolan will be there this year. Last I spoke with him, his only day's off are Wednesday.

seeding after 9 holes or 18?
If my interpretation of the website is correct, there will be an 18 hole format to seed. And then the money will come into play. There will be 36 holes to make some money......
I am sure that money will depend on the number of participants from the previous 8 events, plus whom ever shows up for this event. Previous years, the low cards have been playing for 6-7 dollar skins per hole. High cards?????
But imagine 36 holes valued anywhere from 5-10 dollars a hole........ I am sure all you mathmeticians out there can figure this one out......... I would not recommend missing this one....... Unless you have a problem with cold hard cash!!!!!!

Just checking since your fist post stated 9 holes :D
My bad!
Please anybody out there reading this, if you did not qualify, please be there to register as soon as possible. Mace and I will have enough going on, late entries just make it hard for everyone else! AND, IF YOU DO SHOW UP AND REGISTER LATE , WE WILL FORWARD ALL COMPLAINTS REGARDING STARTING LATE AND FINISHING IN THE DARK DIRECTLY TO THE PARTIES RESPONSIBLE.
If you are coming in from out of town, let me know, we will work something out. I could possibly front the monies for you.
TIMLINESS IS NOT OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE RUNNING THE EVENT. IT IS OUT OF RESPECT FOR ALL OF THE OTHER GOLFERS, WHOM YOU WILL PLAY WITH ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will play 18 holes to seed, followed by 18 holes skins. This is a 36 hole event not a 54 as I mistakenly posted on my web site.
If you aren't qualified to play for free you can pay the regular entry fee and play anyway.
Those fee's are as follows: JR $20, REC $25, INT $30, ADV $35, All Open $40.
Come on out guys and gals! This will be a lot of fun!

Yes, if you want to shoot for skins that have a lower value.

Let me think about that for a minute Adam...no. Sorry but that is not fair to those who did make the minimum, and participation has its benefits.
There weren't any MM1 for match play. It rained a lot that day and we were lucky to have the 22 we had.
Here is the rundown for the event. You will play 18 holes in the morning. That will seed you in your division. You will then play 18 more holes playing skins.
The skins value will be different on each card. I will figure out the payout during the first round. It will be based on the amount in the bonus pool for your division as well as any entry's from people that have not played the 5 events.
For example if there are 12 people in a division then it would pay aprox. 4 places. If there are 3 cards I will figure a payout for 3 places. The value of 1st will be the total value of skins available to the first card. That number will be divided by 18 and that will be the value of each skin for that card. It will be similar for subsequent cards, except that the value will be lower progressively.
So you can go out and tank in the morning with the idea of cleaning up in the afternoon, but you will be cleaning up a smaller mess....so to speak. :D

I should be in MA1 or higher. I will not play in MA2 unless I have some special restrictions like left handed putting.
Brownlow
Sup mike! U got a problem taking all the skins in MA2?????
That does bring up an interesting point, if your player
rating puts you in a different division than when the year started, where do you play for skins?
Better yet, If you started the series in rec. and progressed onto advanced by series finale, where do you play? Interesting concept?
Your initial investment was in a lower division, but you moved up.... Does that bonus money follow?

Sep 08 2006, 03:41 PM
We ran out of metal mini's a while back. The new run will be delivered next week, and then engraved shortly after. They should be in the mail to you at the end of the following week. That is for all of the events since The Big Show.
I have the trophies for The Big Show events on hand now. They are ceramic tiles and somewhat fragile. I have been handing them out to people I have run into and will continue to do so. I would like to avoid mailing them if possible so they aren't broken in transit. If you have one coming you can get it at the event tomorrow or contact me and we can meet up so I can get your trophy to you. By the way they are very sweet!!
