NC Disc Golfers....
Stay tuned, the Archdale Disc Golf Club is sponsoring the Creekside Splashdown tournament on Saturday, September 16th, 2006! The course will be a temporary course set up in the beautiful Creekside Park in Archdale, NC. Archdale is just south of High Point and the park is less than a mile off of I-85. The Archdale Disc Golf Club is running this tournament as a fundraiser for a future disc golf course in the park. This temporary course has been used in the past. It was set up for their Ice Bowl earlier this year. Please make this event if you can. If we fill, it will send a strong message to the Park and Rec department! If you cannot make it, please donate what you can to the event. All funds raised at this event go towards a disc golf course!
Hope to see you there!

Super Dave, Thanks for starting the thread.
Creekside Splash down September 16th
The Creekside Splashdown is the rescheduled CedarLake Spalashdown. This is a One day Two Round C-Tier. A flyer will be posted soon. But not knowing if or when this event would happen we are in great need of CTP's I spent most the morning yesterday get the park and getting the Date changed.
The support to this point has been overwhelming. From The Oak Hollow Disc Golf Club, MTL with his great alternate sites. The Albemarle Disc Golf Association even offered the use of there new Innova designed course At Chuck Moorehead Park.
So please help us talk this event up we promise a great time.

Also working on a side event. maybe putting, maybe ace run. Something like we did with the DB-5 at the Ice Bowl sell shots at it or something. The Surprise maybe a portion of the park we did not use at the Ice Bowl If we can make it work.

Aug 31 2006, 07:58 PM
what was the reasoning for changing the date?
Jiggy45
Aug 31 2006, 08:11 PM
MTL Creekside Park in Archdale on the weekend of Sept. 23 is having a big softball tourament, but the weekend of Sept. 16 there is nothing scheduled so we moved it up. This way ADGC could still put on the tourament, and raise money for a permanent course there in the near future.

Wyatt, war stories for real, some down right scary. Hickory is for the young and healthy. It becomes a matter of survival of the fittest. A great course to practice my slope shots and learn what to, and not to throw. It was a great experience. Dawn has a soccer game in High Pointe on the 16th, so it looks like she may get to only play one round if that. I'll be there for sure. We have our monthly at Sanford this wweekend. Grab the Dave's, and little Bagger's and come over. Players meeting at 0930. 58 min drive, i just did it.

4 wooded holes
3 holes play next to water "Muddy Creek"
2 holes with real nice elevations changes.
And we can't forget the hole where MOOKIE hit a mini van traveling Noth on 311.
The temp course plays around the maintained area's of the park. around the GYM, baseball fields, ETC....

No need, I agree you have done well out there, it's just real scary thinking about you in a swim suit. I'd have to wear my thong to offset that. We then could balance. Hold the presses, I bent over to pick up my disc, and lost my thong. Where did it go.

No, it's 18. I was just pointing out the more interesting hole where MTL could loss a disc. Sorry. The rest of the holes are some what open. A tree here and there. the Walking paths, Ballfields and parking lots are all OB. So for a most open course it has a trick or two

I hit chains and kicked out on hole 16. I saw McRee do the same thing on hole 17. I didn't hear of any aces.
