Can anyone give me any information on any of the local Denver area courses? My g-friend is in a wedding this weekend so i will be there from Friday-Monday, with a lot of time to burn on Friday at least. Being from North Dakota, i don't get a look at very many championship quality courses, let alone mountain courses, so anything like that would be a plus. I looked up Colorado courses on the course directory as well, but the descriptions on there can be a little vague. Anywho, any information would be appreciated, and maybe i'll see a few of you Colorado boys and/or girls out on the course this weekend! :D

I believe the local club is Mile High Disc Golf Club.

They have a section in the affiliated clubs area, though it is not very active...

Lots of disc golf in Denver area. Try the Mile High Disc Golf club website at milehighdiscgolf.org. The Colorado Disc Sports Association has a website worth a look at www.coloradodisc.com (http://www.coloradodisc.com)

Some specific courses to look at include Birds Nest in West Arvada, Johnny Robert's course in Arvada, Badlands in Federal Heights, Auroura has a nice course as well. A new course called Paco Gulch recently went in just west of Mile High Stadium near I-25. These are all within 1/2 hour or so of Denver and worth a look.

If you want to play mountain golf you are looking 45 minutes to 2 hour drive. Look at Thunder Mountain in Empire at the Easter Seals camp, try the Snow Mt course in Tabernash, Copper Mt is real easy to get to. Vail has a course and there is a nice one in Leadville.

I think there are even a few small events this weekend but the websites will give you all that.

Enjoy the nice courses, nice views, and nice local disc golfers

Thanks for the help everyone. I've done a little research and think i have a pretty good idea where i'm going to play. Hopefully i'll have time to hit up both Arvada courses, Badlands, Paco, the Aurora course, and maybe a course or two in Littleton. My plans aren't really that set yet, so i may or may not get to all of those, but i'm hoping for the best. If i have the chance i might try and get out to some of the more mountainous courses (Copper mtn. etc), but i'm not counting on it since they're a bit of a drive. Oh, well, there are more than enough places to play around Denver. Thanks again everyone!
