Ask about the flat rate for discgolfers the weekend of Sept. 9 and 10. Last year it was $42 a night.

Also, The Holiday Inn usually does a sponsorship and offers a flat rate too. Lat year it was $69. This works great if you're bringing the family. Indoor pool and slide, pretty much the hook ups.

Man it seems like everytime we have an event in St Louis there is one in Kansas.
The 9th and 10th is our 16th annual Gateway open.
I guess we will have another event in St Louis without a player from western Missouri, bummer!

This one is my fault for not getting the sanctioning in early enough.

We really need our State coordinators to work on the 2007 schedule together.
Who is the Kansas SC?

This is another "don't miss tourney" on a GREAT course...be there...or be sorry.

48 holes of golf Saturday followed by some good ole Liquid Bread (and dinner!)...then 24 holes on Sunday followed by DG festivities. Will leave folks plenty of time to get home Sunday PM...

This will be the 22nd year that Hays has been on this weekend. I hope that it happens for another 22 years.

Every year someone has a conflict with this event. Last year CO had an event, this year both OK and MO have events.

Before I give the OK for any tourney, I check the PDGA schedule for events in OK, NE, MO, CO.

McCabe,

Thanks for posting the info for me. I finally had to get a new login name to post info. Anyways, the current cash sponsorship raised is at $1,725. We have two more days to solicit some sponsors. If anyone is interested post it here and I will get you a copy of the solicitation letter. Thanks for your support.

To anyone who hasn't played the Frontier Open....

You need to play this year!!!

Those that have attended can attest to the quality of this tournament. The course is unbelievable. One of the very best, and probably THE best course in Kansas. The Hays crew puts a lot of work into this and are a really friendly crowd. Come play disc golf at its best, in HAYS!

We will use 4 of the temp holes we used last year, and we will have 2 new ones. I think they're good holes and should help with the flow of the rounds. The 2 new holes come into the round after hole 6. You will then walk across the bridge and play 2 holes on the west side along the dike. One hole will be a blind shot teeing off close to Elm Street shooting over the dike down to the pin 40 ft from big creek, about a 350 ft hole. There will be a mando to the right of one tree. The next hole will tee from a plateua area 10ft below the dike on a level suface shooting down to a pin on the other side of main st bridge. We're debating whether or not to mando it under the bridge. It's about 260, and was challenging to play when T-rude and I tested it. They will be birdieable holes, however there will be high risks too.

I'm giving up the USADGC, which I qualified for earlier this year, to come play this tourney. I know the USADGC would be a great tournament! That will give you all an idea of how much I love the Frontier!

We finished the fundraising campaign with $3,300. Part of that will cover the cost of the player's package, the rest will be added cash into all divisions. We'll see some of you this weekend.
