OK folks I have made an error... Surprised??? I forgot to mention that MMFMM (Big NIC BRINGIN SOME!)had stepped up awhile back and so did Jay Slack of SLACK GLASS to each sponsor a whole! Those of you that really know me know I have lived 5 years in the past year and I apologize for the oversight in reporting and recognizing.

So just to reiterate... thats 700.00 in skin money... 500.00 added cash to the front side as well... Sounds to me like 1200.00 plus the usual 100% pay back pro thang might equal a nice paycheck for some folks.

The AM players pack isn't complete and it is rocking over 2 x's what is required so far :D

Let the celebration of the fruits of the labor begin... We will be Twisting soon my friends. :D

RonSTL
Sep 27 2006, 01:27 PM
Sorry to hear this.
As Jerry used to say "All good things in all good time"
They will get there dues in time.
We lost 2 until we started making them w/6x6s for footings.
We tried 4x4s 1 time and found these are definitely not as sturdy. The guy that makes them uses scrap wood from jobs and puts them together. Not 2 benches in our park are the same but we sure do get a lot of compliments on them.

Now time to get Twisted :) See all this weekend.

RedHawk is looking good, Jeff Paul gave me a hand yesterday in planting hole 14's teesign...the only other thing we need to do is replace the mando sign on RedHawk hole 10 and we are good to go.

FYI: No spray paint on the trees at Mohawk, it looks tacky.

Me and Schwag are meeting out at Mohawk today after work and were going to do some trash detail and take care of the mando sign...it's amazing how many empty beer cans you find out there. Someone has been playing Black lately and leaving Steel Reserve all over the course, if you see someone drinking the reserve either tell them to stop littering or let me know what they drive and what they look like and I'll tell them.

That is all...

Good job MC!!! Wise & I were out at Blackhawk yesterday evening and saw a bunch of trash. Wise said he had just filled up two trash bags full of trash a few days earlier and it had already gotten that bad. It's insane!! You know it's probably one of the MANY casual groups I see out there every time I go out there. The good thing is the course is getting tons of traffic, which is beating the course down good, the bad part is obviously the lack of respect for the course in the form of littering. Anyway, we appreciate the good work MC.

BTW...Jake, you might want to hurry and get some of Wise's money before I take it all. I got $10 off him last night in that round. :D

Hey gang dubs will be on the RED course for exactly those reasons.

A BIG THANK YOU TO...
Jose Mendosa for making 2 trips worth of stuff...
Tom Townsend for hauling a car load up and some pimped printing...
Cameron Kasperiet for hauling crates that way...
With everyone pitching in I can make my friggin mandatory noon delivery time and still haul the stuff left for the tourny. Man I am bringing a mess of stuff.

Those that have hauled have seen what I mean when I say it's gonna be FAT.

There will be a "Joe and Keldog need gas money raffle" with some TRUE DISC GOLF TREATS from our collections so be sure and bring you some extra $.

It's Twisted Open eve's eve...

Be supportive of Keldog this weekend.
He's trying to get the courage up to tell Rotan that they have to miss the final round of the USDGC so Watson doesn't miss an Arkansas 2007 USDGC series event and get stroked par+10.
I'd be hollering for the USDGC to change their dates.
But, that's just me.
Maybe, if I started a poll, I could generate enough public support to warrant an exemption for Keldog that would keep him from being penalized for missing the Clarksville event- especially since the series format was announced well after Keldog was appointed.
Or, maybe, I should just say the Serenity Prayer.
Hmmmmmm....

Well I'm glad everything turned out well.

Even after a locked door, a big scorecard dispute, and one alarm sounded...I think this event was a big hit.

Wish I would have had another round to play, but that is only because of how beautiful the course is looking right now. Thank you Joe for trying to keep the park clean, if we can somehow make all the weekend park patrons feel the same way we do about trash then we might have something....

......Congrats Dave Wise for his first and last appearance with Coda Hatfield.....and I hope it is the first of many times you cash in the old men division. :D

I agree whole heartedly, what a great weekend other than I played terrible Sat. The worst part of the whole thing is we left 1:15 and we did not cross the state line into MO until 5:05pm. One dead cop can sure screw up driving plans. It has been along time since I walked up 44 hwy 1/2 mile just to see more state troopers than I ever wanted to see in 1 setting. Anyway we made it home safe but do not want to play out that setting again.

Congrats to Wise man for cashing.

Thanks Joe, Mr. Twisted, for taking the time and effort to put on such a great event. Joe is one of those guys that really makes you feel like you have been to an event and not just another disc golf tourney.

WOW - where to start? For me personally. the final nine (urrr 16) was a highlight that was big to me and I will never forget. The seven hole playoff for the final two skins was probably the most excited I had been in a long time. I even jumped my partner on the box one time and he said "...you were so excited that there was no way I was going to tell you it was my turn."

Having "Silent Sugar" Ray Walker as a partner for skins - AWESOME!

Free lunch on Sunday - WAY COOL!

Seeing our friend from Texas hustle in front of the final 9 to pick up trash left by non-discgolfers and then watching Joe Rotan notice and recognize him properly during awards - CLASS ACTS!

Getting to see Big Nic open and entertain us all - PRICELESS.

Playing a couple of holes of mini golf with some friends - FUN AS HECK.

Thanks to all of the staff that helped out. I know of Martin Norris, Tom Townsend, Gary Nail, Terra Nicholson, Daryl Johnson and Wayne Forest. I hope I mentioned everyone.

Also, huge thanks to all of the skins sponsors - TDSA, Jay Slack, Dave Wise, Daryl Johnson, MMFMM, KelDog and (???? who was the 7th sponsor) !!!

Thanks to Daniel Eng for going in the creek and getting my roller back on hole 14.

How does this logic make any sense?

Had anyone on the card, besides you EVER played the whitehawk course before?

But the real question is:

Did you KNOW that they were throwing from the wrong tee, and not say anything until it was your turn on purpose?

The only reason why I am asking you these questions is because you got on here and said that if anyone wanted to talk to you about the incident then they should do it in person. But, here you are continuing to talk about it on the board.

No offense, he obviously dosen't know the rules. The rules are what creates a level playing field. Everyone has the same chance if everyone abides to the same rules.

It's like Mitch Mac told me.

When some famous golfer, bobby jones maybe?, hit his ball into the woods and tapped his ball forward or whatever, and when he came out of the woods he told everyone and stroked himself.

People on the card were just going to play on as if nothing had happened. I couldn't let that happen, it wouldn't have been fair. It would have been a lot easier to just let it go, but I decided to do what was and is the right thing to do.

This wasn't smoking and not keeping your butt with you. This wasn't drinking a beer or aromatherapy. This was a misplay of the course.

What can I say, I wish I wouldn't have been last on the card so someone else could have made the decision.

And Jake, just to make this really, really clear...this is none of your buisness...at all.

So, know your role, shut your mouth, and if anyone who was involved in the event wants to say anything let them do the talking to me, in person.

I may be in the minority but I think Joseph should stay in Advanced or if he does play in Open decline cash because he has a legit chance at winning a title in Advanced. So, if I was him I would try out the Open division in a tourney where the difference in entry fees are minimal. Just my 2 cents.

Any time frame on getting the scores up on the Tour page? I know the scores have beed posted here on this discussion board and I thank you for that but I am curious to see how Forsander's 157 from a sub 900 rated player will effect the ratings. I felt like I played right around 980 to 990 golf with my 157. Just asking not demanding.

First off I would like to thank Martin, Wayne, Jose, Tom Townsend, The Treats and Tara. Heck even the Boughers and team Kasperiet helped out! Thanks to Daryl and Wayne for a "SaucY" ring of fire... and thanks to the $$$$ SKINS SPONSORS!THANKS everyone... It takes a solid crew behind a crazy man to make it all come out "SaucY" and these folks made it happen fo' sho'.

Thanks everyone for coming out and enjoying the weekend... a 25.00 value players pack... Players packs for Pros... added cash... and the best fought biggest paying skins match I think in the history of Oklahoma. Yep we Twisted that weekend again for sure. And let's not forget Dave "Get Some" "BigNic" Nicholson for the sweetest national anthem OKDG has seen. THANKS.

I am off in the Twisted Tundra headed to get Keldog... I will try to post the scores from our first stop... If you call and don't get an answer it's not that I'm ignoring you... I'M LIVIN LOUD and can't hear you! :DThanks Again everyone and have fun...

Congrats to Randy Forsander for his 1st Advanced win.
I would have loved to played but HAD TO WORK.
I guess little dave didn't play, curious to see his tourney play...

Rotan and Watson are now Charlotte/Rock Hill bound!
After the first night Mr Rotan himself proceeded to chum...for ticks maybe (on our 2nd hole of the morning yesterday), I don't know why he was bent over with his head looking closely at the tall grass  We decided to take it easy and only drink hard liquor last night :DGood to see you guys, hate to see ya leave.

Keldog,
I hope that all is well with you and that the "999" was due to excessive enjoyment- and not to an injury, or any other malady. :)
I hope there's a good story that goes along with that "999". ;)

i have 2 of the loosed baskets in my possession. the third loose basket was nowere tobe found, the concrete from #6's basket is there but the basket was not. i have #2 and #5. both were completely loosed and laying freely. i saw no evidence of any construction at the park so i believed it was more likely vandalism therefor the remaining loose baskets are in safe storage.
