Ideal golf ranch in ft worth will be gone this weekend.4 months ago a retirement home bought the course and is going to level it.It was supposed to stay open till end of sept but due to bad weather they are going to close early.I want to thank all the players that supported this course and Brian Mace for his work .I am working on 2 , 9 hole courses or one championship course in ft worth grand prarie area....I will be flying out soon to remove and build a new one....I have had a great time in texas but I am not so happy to have to build in the tx heat...... My new course in riverside is doing great par 71 12,640 and 9,300 ams.Any suggestions on where fly fits in tx I am listening...Cant stop progress..I am looking at Dallas also.....
Flyboy, are you looking for a private facility here in DFW?
I have a couple of contenders that would possibly be receptive to the idea....
I also need to know if you are willing to step outside the relm of Ball Golf overlay ? If so, I have a huge contender!
I could possibly provide the means for a private, pay-to-play facility , with some of the most incredible landscape.

It was a fun course. Too bad it's getting paved over.

As Fly Boy said himself. The Worst Ball Golf course he ever worked on, the Best disc golf course he had built yet. I kinda wish I had made the trip back out there to play. It was worth the money, just cost too much in gas to get there.

I am open for ideas.
Thanks
sad to see her go :(
Well, we would need to talk in private, but here is just
a hint of what could be.....
A family friend of about 15 years, owns and operates one of
the most successful paintball fields/business in the metroplex. Located on the norht west side of Ft Worth. His property is currently 30-40% paintball oriented. The remainer ( which I estimate @ least 40+ acres ) is vacant. The land is true Texas. Lot's o' elevation, lots of mesquite trees, and plenty of room for a champion caliber course. Overlooks Lake Worth and the Carswell JRB. The property is already fenced in, and the owner has every piece of farm equipment known to man, plus he is a master welder.
This particular individual is extremely open minded , and receptive to potential business enterprises. He grew his million dollar paintball empire from a 500 dollar credit card in the early 90's.
PM me if you are interested in getting together on this!

New baskets would help the flow of paying customers.
Those baskets at ideal were very weird.

Those were the normal baskets, you should have seen some of Dr. Fred wierd baskets.
Fly18 owns the rights to those baskets, they are PDGA approved if I am not mistaken.

Wow, that really sucks that the course is closing. I enjoyed that course so much. Anyone know if the course will be open at all the next day or 2 so I can get another round in before it is all done? :(
I spoke with Reese yesterday, those baskets are here to stay. But there is potential for those baskets to find a WAY BETTER home! WAY BETTER!!!!
Easy Money, where u been man, have not seen you in 2 weeks!

would you happen to be speaking about fun on the run paintball?
i used to play on a nationally sponsored team. it was fun traveling to events like miami, chicago, philly, but yeah you would be bringing my two loves together. paintball and disc golf wow. then all you need is MX and BMX and you have yourself a sweet set up!
i vote yes! haha
Yes I am talking about fun on the run!
You may know my brother Matt Letts, he played on Addicted for a while with David, Pete , and O .
i have only played there once.
i know a few addicted guys, but they are a fun on the run team, and i lived in east dallas so i was more of a FORT paintballer. with B*Slap, and other teams.

As a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, one of the saddest things is seeing all the greenspaces get paved over.
Best of luck with finding a new location, Reese. Please keep us posted. My husband and I enjoyed Ideal each time we played. It was enjoyable to be able to play out there with ball golfers, too.
Hi laura! Hope all is well with the New Q!
