the 20+ yr tradition of MD states continues.
there are two major changes though-- 1) this year it will be sanctioned and 2) we'll be playing at the links at druid hill in baltimore instead of pine grove.
singles is set for sunday 10/1
we're trying to secure the fields of pine grove for field events and BYOP doubles on the saturday prior (9/30). if we can't do it there, we'll have it across the street from druid on saturday.
more details will follow shortly. lunch will be provided at no cost to the players and there will be some decent added cash.
druid hill disc golf course is celebrating it's 20th year in the ground and this is only part of the festivities. look forward to details on a vintage class tourney hosted by the course founders in the coming months. the vintage rule being that only molds that were available when the course went in will be used in play. the course will be as close to its original setup as possible.

Call? Whatever happened to impersonal emails and pm's?
Is this the flyer I should print and post at Patapsco or is something else in the works?
md21954
Aug 22 2006, 09:28 PM
hold off on posting the flyer. i have to add info on BYOP dubs and field events at the grove on the saturday prior as well as some sponsor info...
breaking sponsor news.... i've just worked out one of those incestuous deals with the WVO folk to scratch their back if they scratch ours. custom wooden minis will be awarded as trophies for first place open, masters, pro ladie(s) and hopefully advanced and GM as well.
9 days till i get to wap wap!

His in-laws are in town through next weekend, and he needs to do family things to appear reputable. Being Rich you can imagine how difficult this will truly be.

i'll give it 3:1 that he's in the cash and draws close to even in the bet with doc evil.

Just one of the many perks of being Your Disc Golf Hero. Do you actually carry your own bag?

Sadly yes, but those things on her have to weigh about as much as my bag does. Do you carry her bags for her?

They are self supporting. My role involves caressing and cupping.

come practice at thursday night triples this week (get there by 5 with $3 and a mini).

REAL SPORTING OF YOU :p

Sep 26 2006, 10:43 PM
it'd be one thing if i was trying to outdraw swamp dubs, but that lost it's "SPORT" appeal last june.
i'd have the course set up in tourney layout sooner, but with the inner city youts that we have coming for our disc golf exhibition on wednesday, i prefer the shorter setup. i don't want to promise to have everything moved by this week's thursday night triples.
it's for the youts mr. sherwood, but i know you'll never understand that.

coincidence? 123 is just a few shy of how many more folks have been to TNT at druid hill than swamp dubs so far this year! :D
flights are still senseless. especially at calvert.

See you at HH.

HH and wap wap are both far and away more worthy of 2 day events than most courses around here. the grange and codorus are close.

Yeah, Seneca is such a pitch and putt really boring.
md21954
Sep 27 2006, 10:04 AM
i like seneca. i just have high standards for "two-day event worthiness". calvert on the other hand... :D
note states is two days with doubles at one course one day, then singles at another course the next. you can play one or both days. in essence, these are two seperate events at two seperate courses. click my sig for details.

Hey Sharky, I'm not the discgolfTV guy, I'm the Disc Golf Monthly guy! lol
I have great news by the way, corporate just confirmed yesterday. Next month Disc Golf Monthly will become availible on digital cable in the baltimore area. Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Harford County and Anne Arundel County will have the show availible via Comcast On Demand next month.
I took notice one of the towns in Arundel County is Laurel. If I remember right, I think you tole me you're from Laurel. If so, I hope you get a chance to view the show via On Demand.

Thanks, nice to have choices in our disc golf entertainment. BTW I am in Howard County it sounds like you have that area covered too. Greater Laurel actually is in four counties: Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, and Howard.
