I've been asked to help spread the word about a fundraiser tournament here in Amarillo. First Saturday of October, Agape Mental Health Consumers (part of Faith City Ministries) are hosting a fundraiser event which will include 2 rounds of Disc Golf (unsanctioned), lunch between rounds, eats after the 2nd round, and a band. I'll post more info soon.

The hosts for this event are putting together quite a few really cool prizes. Cash for Pro, and I've heard Southweswt Airlines may come on board. :cool:

Everyone that played the Top of Texas Open this year should have a flyer coming to your mailbox. The AMHC is getting pumped about this event. They have got Blues Boy Willie signed up for the evening entertaiment. This will be a fun one-day event that benefits a good cause.

BIG DADDY'S!! They are in!! Big Daddy's Bar-B-Q is doing the evening eats. Alway's good stuff, and they always help out the Disc Golfers! Help support them by eating at their place whenever you finish (or before you start)your rounds at the Disc Creek Disc Golf Course!!!!

Lunch will be taken care of by Home Plate Diner. Good to have them on board!

Local band Blues Boy Willie will be playing after the golf is done, so plan on hanging around for more fun.

If anyone is interested in staying a night or two, call the Ambassador Hotel. They will let up to four people stay in a room for $80.00. Make sure you tell them you are with the AGAPE FEST.

The course will play easy this weekend. This month all the baskets are in the SHORT positions. The creek is up and murky so stay in the grass!

The Texas Blues Rangers are supposed to show up to play some music along with Blues Boy Willie. Should be a lot of fun!!!

Come join us Saturday morning for coffee and donuts. Then if you have time, stick around for a Disc Golf tournament! The weather is supposed to be a little cooler than we've had the last few days, but we'll have fun.
