I lost a Red 2005 USDGC SB Roc somewhere. If anyone finds it or sees anyone with it, there is a cash reward for the disc's safe return.

I lost it once before and it took a guy from Michigan to bring it back. Probably lost forever.... :(

That is too awesome Dan. I just lost the Roc yesterday.

Blackhawk hole 8. I threw a high hyzer for my drive that came down in the fairway of the white pad. My second shot I threw a little anhyzer, I thought, and it kept going out into the pond. I think those were the only trees I missed all day.

Great news, thanks again...

Hello all and thank you for the Oklahoma Open. I have lost a 175g fly-dyed SE (Special Edition) Valkyrie on redhawk #14--in creek, of course. Im a total dork, but knew of no creek. Sorry to inform you Bob, but right after the tournament a group of local scavengers,(and I use that loosely) cleaned out the creek on Red and the big ponds on Black. I know they cleaned out around 50-60 discs. I offered a reward for any that had names and numbers but they refused.
So I had security throw them out of the park for swimming in the ponds. ;)

I would suspect any that were lost in the creek on the red course didn't last 2 days before they hit them.

They are real low lifes and the local guys know who they are, we have an on going fued with them.

Sorry.

I fell in the pond at Black on accident last week. I was wet so I said screw it and went swimming. (on November 3 mind you) and found three discs. Mine, an unmarked and Forsanders. I wish those people would call on those discs. There are plenty of unmarked in there and like Conners if I got a call on something I would tell them to keep it for the trouble unless it was my money disc.

Anyways.... Randy Forsander, I have your pink champ wraith.

Ok, I may catch crap for this but I caught two disc divers at Blackhawk today at lunch.

They said they were from Norman and that a guy named Matheson had move to Tulsa and told them they should come look for disc at Blackhawk.

When I walked up they had about 30 disc. I went through their entire bag and came up with the following that I could identify:

Dan Bougher - Light green Star T-Rex

Dave Wise - 2 White Pro Starfires
1 Blue Special Blend Orc

Joel Woody - 1 Green Candy Valkryie

I asked what they were going to do with the disc and they said they sell them. They wanted $3 for DX and $5 for anything else.

I paid them for the above listed disc, $5 each.

That is the part I might catch crap over. With that said, the more I thought about it I decided maybe it's not a bad deal.

That water is really cold, one guy with bushy hair had a full wet suit on and the other one had chest waders. I have seen many times when I would pay $5 to get one of my favorite disc back. So, I decided that these disc were worth recovering since I knew everyone that had names on their disc. Trust me, these guys were really wet and cold.

I asked how I could contact them and they said to send an e-mail to:

[email protected]

So the next time I see the above mentioned people I will give you your disc back. As for anyone else contacting them, feel free.

Nice post Treat. I personally would not get in the water to get discs out. Once I throw it in I consider it lost forever. If I really wanted it back and someone was willing to get in that dirty cold water I would be willing to compensate them for it depending on the price they were asking. I guess my only problem with them would be if my name and phone # were on it and they didn't even give me first shot at buying it back.

I wouldn't expect club members to charge money but as far as casuals,.....well there is no reason for them to give a crap about us though I think it would be in their best interest to try and work with us.

I hope these aren't the same guys that "keyed" Wise's truck though because I think Wise is out there now and if there's a confrontation, the crap is going to hit the fan. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Someone might want to check out there later and make sure Wise isn't floating face down in the water. ;)

Dave caught a couple of guys diving a few weeks ago. He asked them how much for the discs and they said $5 or $10 (I don't remember exactly). He told them to forget about it. Then a few minutes later Dave called security and had them tell those guys to get out of the water. A few days later Dave recognized an "FU" keyed on the hood of his truck. :(

No definite proof it was them because I'm sure Wise pisses off a lot of people just driving down the road but this one smelled fishy if you know what I mean. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

No one in their right mind throws their favorite disc at the bermuda triangle. If I were them I would call people and ask $5 for the trouble and give them first dibs, but many times I would say keep it. Its not exactly the cleanest or warmest pond so its worth it.

Also their being there added to the witness count when I ACED HOLE EIGHT!!!!!! Thats right.

These were not the same guys as last time. The 5 guys from the last time are locals. I pointed them out to everyone at a McClure mini a few weeks back. One of them said what I did wasn't cool (calling Security) and that he was going to remember me. I told him I hope he never forgets my arse, because I'll **** sure remember them. Less than a week later my hood got keyed. I know it was those low life tweakers and you can rest assured, I will get them back.

I hate to admit it, but in the 28 years I have been playing disc golf, I have had only 6 aces. (Im really not complaining too much because I am glad to have gotten them). Because they dont happen as often as I would like, I have all 6 discs marked, (the park, the hole and witnesses) and I never throw them again. I retire the disc immediately regardless. The first ace is a big deal even if a player goes on to get dozens in their career. I hope you get it back and put it on the wall.

Sorry!
Due to the Tulsa County Parks decision to keep Mack Taylor closed to Play the following changes have been made to the weekend schedule for Spring Fling #1 and Spring Fling #2.
Spring Fling #1 will begin at Reed Park as scheduled but will be expanded to 36 holes and will become an all day event. There are no extra holes to be played just the original 9 played 4 times around.
Spring Fling #2 will be at Kelly Lane park in Sapulpa and it too will be expanded to 36 holes ( 4 times around the 9 hole layout) no extra holes (temporary) will be in play.

At Blackhawk on the first water hole: Bright red ESP surge with TDSA stamp on it. I think that I didn't have my name on it. If someone finds it I'll trade something good as a reward to get it back (except for Hunter Boren - I have found and returned so many of his discs that he owes me ;)).

Seriously though, anyone who takes the time to fish a disc out of one of those nasty lakes at Mohawk deserves a reward, and I have a trunk full of perfectly good unused plastic.
