Anyone know anything about this new disc? Innova is saying it is an approach, putter, driver combo...sounds like it's not anything new...only pieces of something else.

Just purchased one. I'll have to play a few rounds with it and give it my review.

Got mine last night, hope to get out early enough to play a round today. First thought was it felt like a Cobra.

I saw a freind who got a skeeter at a playitagain trade show, and he said the HOB does mean "Hobbit," and were run before the name change. I'd expect them to be only on the first run.

I threw my Skeeter over the weekend. I'll stick with my Roc and Coyote. It's a great beginner disc, so I gave it to a beginer and he loves it.

I'm throwing a 174 and you can throw it pretty darn hard. Slightly different grip than my Coyote .............goes as far though. Holds a nice line.

I finally got a chance to throw one of these puppies today. It was a First Run DX Skeeter, 175g. Thrown with a touch of hyzer, this disc was incredibly neutral, and reminded me greatly of a Classic Roc, but with more glide. This disc may replace the straight shots I normally make with a Classic Roc, especially if there is the threat of a headwind, or a longer shot (that I don't think I can reach with a Classic Roc) is needed.
I agree about how it flies in relation to the Classic Roc. They both hold stright lines, but the Skeeter glides a lot better. I threw a Star Skeeter yesterday for a good while and it holds a turnover very well. It made mid-range anhyzers really easy to place accurately and without a cut-roll. I was worried about the dominess at first glance, but the results and the disc's flight made me like it. I'm not ready to give up the Classic Roc yet, though. While they both hold a nice line, the Skeeter has a bit more fade in the end.

Classic Roc is much better in the wind imo.

I love my STAR SKEETER it has the So Cal stamp and it flies like a dream....I use it for straight shots and it has bailed me out of a few tight spots.

I got a 165 1st run skeet for my girlfriend to play with. Anyone tell me about the flight characteristics of a skeet with this low weight and low arm speed? THanks

Bonnie won one and threw it for a while. She is used to throwing a Spider nose down for a straight approach shot, so the Skeeter would hold out too long before coming back when she threw it. It would probably be a good one for your gal because it will hold subtle angles at fairly low speeds, therefore teaching her to use throwing angles to make the disc turn. It should definetely be her approach disc/putter.
