This should be a great tournament, we had 94 players last year and will cap at 120 players, so please pre-register.
If we get over 100 players, we will break into 2 flights.
More on this to come.
We are really looking forward to this one, and the course is looking great!!
For all of you out there that have not played a JDGF event, you should really take the opportunity to treat your self to a fantastic tournament experience. Tom Lowry runs a top notch event, that truly embodies what the PDGA experience should be about. Good times for a great cause! Looking forward to this one, see you soon Tom! I think Devynn is looking to sweep her division this year!!!!!
Hey Tom, how are the pre-reg's looking, I registered today!

Hey Tom, how are the pre-reg's looking, I registered today!
It's looking pretty typical Lee. Lots of calls. Looks to be a great field and lots of fun. The Adv and Pro Master are shaping up with the most players at this point, but I expect the other divisions will fill out nicely.
I'll be at Dolese sometime around 1:00 in the afternoon on Friday to continue registration. I'll cut off on-line registration Friday Morning around 10:00 am.
Mike and I should see you late Friday afternoon, we should
be up there around 4 ish. Wish we could make it for doubles!

Lee,
I don't think they will start doubles until maybe 5:30 - 6:00. Plenty of sunlight time to finish.
Excellent, hopefully traffic will not be too bad on the way up!

Jason,
We are not sure whether all rounds will be from where the pins are now or whether we will move them Saturday evening. I'll let everyone know Friday.

Adam,
I don't have a players list yet. My regular laptop crashed and it had my password in it to the PDGA Admin page. I just got it back this morning and have been slacking about getting it up.

since I'm far too lazy to read back and see if this has been covered already...
Is there an option for trophy only + ace pot / ctp?
I don't need plastic, but I'd love to win a trophy... and of course I always love getting paid for tournament aces. Will this be an option at Dolese this weekend?

Since that wasn't covered, you could read back to the beginning and still not find it. :D If you want to pay the extra for CTP and Ace Pot, yes you can do that.
Hey Tom, I noticed last night that OKC has been getting quite a bit of rain. How is the drainage on this course.
Should I be prepared for some SLOPPY course conditions? Are there concrete tee pads?

discboomer - Dolese does have concrete pads on all holes and the course is mostly sandy so standing water won't be a big problem. There are a few holes that will have some, but the course will be just fine.
So , how maiy Okies are going to Glass Blown Open this weekend?

Is it still raining ?
Lee,
No rain this weekend. Hot....Hot...Hot...bring the water. It is not going to be totally quiet...we have a very good pre-registration....so you will still need to bring your "A Game" with the Adv. pre-reg. so far, some pretty good players are sticking around. :D
Glad to hear it! Very glad to hear it!
A-Game on the way in t-minus 3 hours and seven minutes!
Are you running doubles tonight ?

Doubles will be going, but I'm not sure who will be running it. I'll be leaving Duncan around 12:30 to 1:00, and should be pulling in around 2:30. See you there :D

Not that many Intermediates have signed up. With you there are only 6 as I type this. I do expect more tonight and tomorrow, as always. Right now, Bill, Jr., and his cousins, the Forsanders and a couple of locals I don't know.
The Adv. and Pro Masters are the biggest contingient right now. :D
I will get a list up tonight when I get to the hotel, should be after 8:00. I have just been busy with work related stuff and have not had the time to get it done.

If we don't get at least 10 MA2 (myself included), I'll likely move up to MA1. Hopefully I can get to the course early enough in the morning to let you know before it becomes too much of a pain for you to move me around.

heh, I usually do move up... but with my limited play time lately, I need some points :) Besides, I'll be playing against a lot of locals and people who have played the course much more than I have (2 rounds at the TFO a couple years ago). Then again... maybe I'll move up anyway :)
One thing I have learned, you can not always depend on locals to do well @ their home course. They always have really high expectations, and when they dont live up to them , their rounds go in the toilet real quick!

Thanks Tom! Had a great time, like always!
All the okie locals were kick arse, it was nice meeting all of you! Thanks for a great time!
For those of you whom have not looked @ the scores, please
note the lowest score for the weekend was not shot by an
open player! Open players need to keep their eyes wide open
for the up and coming advanced players! Way to go Stephen!

Congrats to all the winners.
Larry Gardner - Open
Ray Walker - Master
Stephen Benton - Adv. (Lowest overall Tournament score 182 = -34)
Michael Middleton - Adv. Master
James Hall - Intermediate
Ben Davis - Recreational
Amy Elvington - Women's Rec.
A BIG congrats to Jake Christian, from Norman hitting the only Ace of the tournament on his first throw of the tournament and cashing in on $345.00 smackeroos.....
And to the lowest round of the tournament to Jonathan Ashley, who placed 2nd in the Adv. division with a smoking last round score of 41 (-13). Way to shoot Jonathan.
A special thanks to Daryl Johnson and Kyle Wilkes for their help prior to and during the event. Both are great givers to this sport.
