In my bag at the moment i carry around 25 discs all have mainly one job. Name a disc and i bet i have it. I want to know what discs do you use for more then one shot such as hyzer anhyzer and flat all thrown with one disc. i am trying to reduce down to around 8 to 10 main discs. can u help me out? my go to driver at the moment is a ultra grip elite Z surge.

Those are the ones I throw for a wide variety of shots, from anhyzer to hyzer. They are all pretty much stable discs, which gives them the ability to hold the lines you put them on.

I want to know what discs do you use for more then one shot such as hyzer anhyzer and flat all thrown with one disc.
For most shots between 150' and 320' I'll use a Squall. It is dead straight and will hold the line you give it, left, right or straight. I even roll with it. Doesn't seem much affected by wind and is PREDICTABLE. If you've never tried it, you should.
For longer shots I don't know if you'll get one disc for hyzer and anny, unless you throw sidearm. Find your best disc for straight and hyzer throws, then something that holds a gradual turn. Add those 2 discs to a Squall and a putter and you've got a lighter bag ;)
I know whereof I speak. I'm a recovering 25 disc+ lugger.

My suggestion for 8/10 disc setup (obviously it will vary from course to course):
1 - putter of choice for putting only
2 - putters of choice for approaches/drives, 1 stable, 1 beat
2 or 3 - midranges of choice - 1 flippy, 1 straight flyer, 1 stable
2 or 3- teebirds, 1 TL and 1 or 2 T molds (different stablities)
2 - random drivers, maybe a long range like a Wraith and a overstable driver like a Firebird for sidearms and overhand shots
25 is a lot of discs IMO.

I try not to carry too many disc's. Roc, Coyote, Orc, Sidewinder are my main disc's. Can pretty much throw any shot with these.

spider is good for putting up to 300. very straight. sabre can be used for any controlled drive [save headwind throws]. throw in a z-pred and you are good. i throw:
dx spiders
dx or champ gator
e sabre
new dx wraith
z-pred
these 5 work for me

I carry all DX/Pro-D/S plastic except for my main overstable/trouble disc, the Z Predator.
Doing this allows me to carry a minimum number of different molds by carrying multiple discs of the same mold in increased stages of wear. For example:
1 Z Pred - headwind, thumbers, sidearm flicks
2 DX Teebirds - 1 new to used for hyzerflips and long hyzers, the other is beat for tight straight tunnel shots
2 DX Valkyries - 1 new to used for maximum distance, the other is beat to crap for long anhyzer shots/rollers
4 DX Rocs - ranging from brand new to barely recognizable...used for everything from sharp hyzers to straight shots to anhyzers
3 S Wizards - Medium, Soft and SuperSoft - when I'm too close to use the Roc, and for all putts

That Pred is going to last 5 times longer then the rest of your discs.
I agree with the multiple discs of the same mold, but the low grade plastic has to go.
Z Preds 1 Beat up, 1 Pretty new (most all drives). I live in Kansas, I wouldn't be able to play most days without the Pred.
ESP Surge Used for dropping bombs
Z Tracker Great Disc. I could probably play most courses on a calm day with the Tracker as my only driver. Thse things are kick butt! You can hyzer them, anhyzer them, throw dead straight lazer shots with them. They are a great disc for new players and veterans alike. I use it for long rollers also.
Buzzz I have both Z and ESP. I use to live and die by the 1st run Z's. The ESP is quickly getting more work.

Shark, especially in Pro plastic, is my favorite flyer :) Can't crank on it like a Wasp or Roc but for touch and trick shots it's a beauty. Hyzer, anny or straight.

All in Z plastic. With these four discs I can do just about anything imaginable.

I can handle any situation with a 171g Flat Beat D Wasp. Sure, it takes about 140 degrees of hyzer to get the thing to turn left if I'm throwing it hard, but the thing is point and shoot inside 200 feet. It even doubles as a putter if I ask it nicely.
