That's right!
Deep in the heart of wildest New Jersey is the Rutgers DGC.
Continually modified since 1974.(the earliest record of the Jam I have is from '74)
This year: two rounds/18 holes/extended play on the course.
Around and over passion puddle, the Spire, The peninsula, the giant field holes...did I mention some OB?
Flyer is here:http://f4.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/QOy7RIiw9dwrRCGo3LsfKLUE4zpY7Fe2EIWDyLijdA5QWwR4rp IMeEOFDKdme1mEgYpbUAfnXokayscJ41A8nw20ebJVTmtZZeM/JAM%20Flyer%202006.doc
(I gotta get a better place to put that flyer)
Putt it right,
BOB

Thank God for cut-and-paste.
How long do you anticipate it going, BOB? I will be there, though I may have to run away quickly afterwards.
Well, 32 years so far...
Did I mention the fantastic travelling trophy built by Jeff Mahler? just ask Schweb how cool it is. Or Mela.
Or that it's the last MSDGC affiliate, and your last shot at earning a free entry into that event?
And Jersey's USDGC spot is up for grabs.(for Jersey players that is)

(I'll help you out)
- Or how Rutgers is a great, demanding, fair course with OBs that are as great as they are aggravating.
- Or how Bob and the Disc Devils are among the most gracious hosts I've ever encountered.
- Or how I hear I might try to put in an extra special CTP for this tournament?
- Or how it's on an all-girls campus?
(What!!?!? Bob took all the good reasons!!)
TWO WEEKS!!!
Online reg at Marshall Street.
Winner of the Jam gets the MSDGC entry! Oh I said that, well it needed to be said again.

Got to play the course for the first time yesterday (in the tourney layout) and it is pretty sweet. The OB will definitely force good course management and there are some nice big rips too. Looking forward to playing this event in a couple of weeks!
Looking at last year's Am day, there were very few advanced players. Any idea how many are expected this year (or signed up so far)? Thanks!
no idea how many will play. last year we were up against the weekend before pro worlds and EVERYBODY was there. Well everybody but the people that came to the Jam. We cap each day at 90! Play em both!

Remember that the NJ USDGC slot is up for grabs. The NJ resident with the lowest score (not already qualified) will win the spot. Cost is $25 to help offset the entry fee.
BTW congrats to BOB who was elected as the NJ State Rep for the PDGA.
I wonder who will be competing for the Jersey spot this year?
Cutler?Graham?Sweeton?Brown?Wittman?Noakes?LaCourt e?Sonderfan?Howard?Thoms?Demark?
or will we see a walk up/join the PDGA/win the Jam/US and MSDGC spots/Who is this guy? kind of cinderella story?

Bob - did I hear right that my buddy Jon has been wrangled to photograph this fine event as well? Just plain awesome.
Jon has agreed to share his talents with us at the Jam.
I'm trying to wrangle a video camera for the event too.

B.O.B., I'm planning to play both days, and I will happily donate $25 to the USDGC entry fee. Cutler and LaCourte may be in the hunt, but I think you'll take it...

I believe you can do it Fred.
Prepare your acceptance speech now. The state rep is gonna get some press time.
and frizzaks, the course is ready but for the 7 portables we will use at the Jam. Object golf on those holes til Saturday. Tees are marked with flags right now but no numbers. Should have a map up somewhere....

Hey Bob, I'll be there! MPM 4792. Hope I can find the course, get lost every time I come there.
try this way,
287 S to exit 9 (River road) bear right towards New Brunswick.
4 ro 5 miles to Rt 18 S (ramp right)
Rt 18 S to traffic light (Commercial Ave) Make right.
commercial Ave to second traffic light (george st) make left.
Through one traffic light.
Road makes a sharp left turn ahead.
You however will make your first right at that bend. (clinton or ryders I don't know if the sign is still there)
This road will make a sharp left also, but you will go straight into the Eagleton Institute parking lot.
Follow this around to the right and park.
and for those coming from the other way,
Rt 1 N or S to Ryders lane
exit towards New Brunswick
Through one traffic light,
road mahes a sharp left then a sharp right,
at the right, you will go left into Eagleton Institute,
follow right to lot and park.
See you there

Not sure if I have a ride for tomorrow yet from the New Brunswick train station to the course. If anyone could pick me up from the station that would be great. The station is only 5-10 minutes away from the course too, so it shouldn't be too far out of the way. Can't wait for tomorrow!

thanks for donating it to the event fats
You said it!
I bought a copy and have been listening since.
The Biscuit Blues is the best.
But Big Dog was humming the Truck Song til I pointed it out to him.
Derek's songs get in, but they don't come out.
We love you Derek!

I think the next album will have to contain a disc golf song on it. Gotta know who to market to. :)
