My son lost his 2001 CE ROC at the King's classic in Kinston a few weeks ago. He wanted a disc like the "good guys" have and dreamed about that one checking the prices on eBay for months. He finally saved enough money to get one by mowing lawns for a couple months, but made an errant throw in Kinston and poof - gone in some thick undergrowth.

Anyway, I was sort of proud the way he worked and saved for it, so if anyone gets it back to me, I'll give them a reward of $100. Of course I realize you could keep the disc and sell it for more on eBay.....but if you find it, and are in the mood for a good deed, I'll gladly send you the $100. The disc is the USDGC CE 2001 pale yellow one. There is a custom ink stamped PDGA emblem on the underside with the name David Wiggins on it, and our cell phone number, or you could email me here. Whatever the case, I hope the disc is put to good use, and not just sold or placed on a shelf

That really sucks. I hope you and your son find the roc. If you don't, PM me and I will give you an 04, 05, or 06 Champion Roc. I know its not the same, but maybe he will like it. Or if not, he can sell it as a head start toward a new '01.

Thanks for the kind offer, Colin. We still have not given up hopes of finding it, but thanks just the same. That was very gracious.

I know what its like to lose a favorite disc, especially an expensive one. And the fact that your kid got a job to get what he wanted shows he's not a spoiled brat like most american teens. It's good that he understands the value of things and knows he has to work if he wants a "luxury" item. You apparently have been raising him right, and I admire that in today's world. Good luck and I hope you find it. If not, let me know. Peace.

Lil' Dave only had the Roc for 2 or 3 weeks before he lost it. You could tell he was bummed out the week after he lost it at Kinston.

Good luck in Tulsa :)

If you listen to the lyrics of "Snap Yo' Fingers", Lil Jon
is telling white people how to dance at the club.

Actually it's telling people how to throw a disc.

Snap ya fingers!
Do ya step!
You can do it all by yo self!
Let me see you do it!

"Snap ya fingers and then ROC wit it
Do it, do it, do it, do it,
gon drop wit it
Do a step wit it,
put ya hips wit it"

Reece, believe me this little indian has the bow, the arrow, the war club and the bowie. He is the whole package and a great kid. If he wants a 2001 CE Roc that bad then the "hype" is real in his hands.

he's just an 11 yr old kid who loves disc golf. 100 dollars is unimaginable ammount of money to a kid his age. THe fact that he saved up this kind of cash for something like this is amazing. While I do agree with you 100% and think that paying anything more than 25 - 30 dollars for a non -collectable disc is rediculous, he's just a kid who wants to be like the pros he sees play in his home town!

I'll second that, Dave Jr. is great kid, and role model for jr's, And for a lot of us old guys. When he told me and my son Andrew about lossing it, you could feel his pain. Good luck Dave Jr. I hope the one who finds it will do the right thing.

On the positive side, I had an '01 ROC returned after it had been lost for over 2 years. It was just in a place that got very little traffic and was often wet. I hope the disc finds it's way back.

Thanks again for the kind replys everyone. He'll certainly live without it, but the point about getting it back was made well by MTL and others. Anyway, we appreciate you all keeping an eye out for it. Maybe it will be one of those geat returned after a long delay cases.

The CE Roc is at Barnette Park, right? Never been there, but if it is there I will go look there whenever I make it down there. Sorry about your Roc Lil' Dave, I know someone will find it sooner or later if I don't!!! :D

I lost a disc at Kinston last year and my throw hit a tree probably 30 feet in front of me. That course is brutal. Thanks to Noble and the Kings crew for the great job and hard work in cleaning the course. GL in finding that '01!

Well, you never know. You might have been looking too hard for the disc and plus it is green, so yeah I don't doubt that you will find it Lil' Dave!!! :D

How far from the tee pad? and is there any distinguishing terrain to help find the approximate spot to start the search? I'm playing Kinston on Sat 8/12 so we'll make sure to look for it and get it back to your son if we find it.

It's somewhat shy of the basket to the left of the hole. I hear it is quite thick in there (I was not able to attend myself) so please be careful if you are looking for it. The 100 dollar reward stands. Thanks!!! Dave
