We are re-designing the local course and have decided to change the locking system on our baskets to a sleve that sticks up about 18 inches and has a bolt through the sleve and the pole with a lock on one end of the bolt.

I need to find a good place to order or buy 36 pieces of pipe 36inches each. Anyone with advise? I am flexiable on the length, if pipe comes in 10 foot sections I can cut it to 40 inches and so on. :D

Contact any local metal fab or tubing shops, they may have the lenghts you are looking for as scraps.

Looks pretty easy to cut off.

We went with 2 hole muffler flanges welded to the pole and sleeve on our new course. They are a lot harder and larger than standard sleeve locks.

make sure it is galvanized, and spray the cut part with cold galvanizing compound (spray can from hardware store).

Olde Englishe spelling Plank. Or possibly Francaise - sleve' /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif ;) Not sure. Let's check with Hysell.

the flange idea may work too. The bolt and lock idea comes from Kansas city they use a hardened bent pin in place of the bolt but the idea is the same.

We thought about going that way, but decided that it may be difficult to precisely match up all of the drilled holes in all of the sleeves and poles. This would prevent moving the baskets from one part of the course to another, or between pin locations if you come up with a new location next year.

If you have a jig and a drill press, it shouldn't be a problem to duplicate the hole position on all of the sleeves and poles.

good call guess we will drill the holes a size or two bigger, and now that I have been looking I think we are going to scratch the bolt idea and go with a hitch pin lock.

if there is a metal scrap yard near you, you can probably buy the pipe much cheaper...

thanks for all the tips and help guys, now then has anyone had any sucess moving tee pads? has anyone tried to move them? We had a new course go in at a lake near here and they poured 18 tee pads in a parking lot with forms on top of plywood and then removed the forms and ply and took them to the right spots with a bobcat. we already have tee pads in the ground I am wondering if anyone has tried to remove and replace concrete tees before?
