Sad news from Tim Selinske:
I just received a phone call from Larry Bell's ex-wife. She informed me that Larry passed away two days ago. His last round of treatments obviously did not go well and he was placed in a hospice. He had only been in the hospice a few days when he asked to come home. His family brought him home and a few days later he passed away with all of his family by his side. I am having a hard time typing this.
Larry Bell was a long-time "mover and shaker" of disc golf in Southern California. He was instrumental in the formation of the Southern California Disc Golf Association, and in keeping it going in the early years. Larry was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. Before his illness set in, you could always count on Larry to be on hand chipping in to get whatever it was that needed doing done. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
