Black Hawk is considered the tougher of the two courses. Within Black Hawk are two sets of tee pads, for several holes. The shorter pads within Black Hawk are called White Hawk.
Red Hawk is the more open course east of the zoo.
CTP = Closest to the Pin, we use that in tournaments or mini's as an extra prize.

I say get everyone in a circle that worked on it and let them all fire at once. The course in Modesto did that at the opening and then Steady Ed signed the discs of the closest 2 players. Everyone from the mayor to the concrete guy got a shot. If not I vote for whatever animal it is in the zoo that makes that "hhuuujjaaaaagggaaahhhhhuuuuuuwoof woof sound" :D

Is Whitehawk not going to be used in Worlds? I see Red and black on the schedule for Worlds.
Melissa
Jul 06 2006, 11:12 PM
White will be used for women and juniors only. Black will be used by all others. Red will be used by all, but Kev said there will likely be shorter tee pads on the two long holes on red.
Is the white course easy?
Melissa
Jul 06 2006, 11:28 PM
Nope. 10 tee pad are different...8 holes use the black tees. It's "eas-ier" but definitely not "easy".

On the schedule it only lists Black and red as being used at Worlds- will we (Women) be playing something other that what is on the draft schedule then? I understand it is listed as draft, that is why I ask. So the schedule is not in final draft yet?
Hey Mel, can you e-mail me the directions to Blackhawk again(to my work e-mail)for Saturday? I will know for sure by tomorrow night if I am able to go. It's looking good though!

So what we will be playing this weekend for the grand opening is what we will be playing for Worlds then?
When do you expect the final draft to be published?
Also, when the final is published will it list the times of all the field events, including Mixed Dubs on Monday?
I know, lots of questions- I have family coming from out of town that are bugging me for details.
Thanks!!

I will rent a large mower for next Friday. I need some one to spend the entire day out there mowing and some one weed eating. Dam Bougher said he will try to get off work to mow. You said haikey, hunter, mcclure, and dovillio? I dont think there are any am pads for those.
What I don't like are the white pads at Blackhawk. There is only one or two holes out there that, in my opinion, are easier because of the white pads.
I often find myself saying,"man I wish I could throw the blacks from here" like hole 8, the first one over the water, I would much rather cranks the hyzer than have to play and anhyzer twofinger down a 250'+ tunnel.

My twofinger is very accurate inside 250-260 but anything over that is scary.
But I am happy that the 2 new courses have a variety of shot's.
Do I have to have my invitation I got in the mail to sign-up for World's or can I do it over the Internet?

Thanks to everyone involved with getting both of these courses ready. Amazing difference from when I first came over in April and wandered around through the woods trying to find the holes ( I actually played better then).

The only thing that truly sticks is that I have now lost another world's bag tag  OH WELL I WILL STILL COME STRONG TO WORLD's!!!!

I still can't believe Billy Moody got his am status activated, that is too cool.
If it wasn't for his contributions to the Tulsa club it probably wouldn't have happened and I'm pretty sure it's just to play in this event.
Alot of ewe guys don't remember but B Moody originally purchased the baskets at Hunter until the club could afford to pay him back. Hunter was in the ground at least a year earlier than expected and it was due to big Bill.
He was the one who got the major sponsor at the 2004 HIDEAWAY PIZZA Oklahoma Open.
We all know about his Moody's Monthly Full Moon Mini which is TONIGHT!!!!

Yes but how do we really know that? What if it was really a couple of 10 year old vandals at Dovillio that day and when Jake went over to tell them to stop, they beat him up and broke his arm? :o.....
Let's see...... "I tripped over the cable" or "I got beat up by a couple of 10 year olds". Only the tee sign will ever know. ;)

Those of you in the Tulsa area: Don't forget that tonight Fox 23 is airing the footage / interviews from the Mohawk Grand Opening tonight during the 9:00 news. It will likely air during the sports portion of the news, and MC said it will be about 9:20.
