Make sure you check out Hotlanta if you are heading to the Pro Worlds in Augusta. It is a PDGA Supertour A-tier event merely 2 hours away from Augusta. This is the official warmup to the World's. Get yourself acclimated Goergia's beautiful summer weather!
The tournament website is: www.discgolfatlanta.com (http://www.discgolfatlanta.com)

2. Hilton Garden Inn www.atlantaeaststonecrest.gardeninn.com (http://www.atlantaeaststonecrest.gardeninn.com) or 678-526-1000 $139/night

Exit 71 off of Interstate 20 at Panola Road

Keep in mind that anywhere in the City of Atlanta gives you easy Interstate access to both courses, so if you can find a room cheap somwhere else dont worry about the drive.

The two courses are about 15 to 20 minutes apart. We play one course on Sat and the next on Sun, so go stay down at the Swiss Hotel in Buckhead or the Hyatt. If not feel good about getting a room anywhere near I-85 or I-285. Both courses are east of Atlanta.

This is going to be a great tournament.

Friends,

Please keep in mind that Microtel Inns & Suites is now a national disc golf sponsor.

They have set up a page specifically for disc golf at: http://www.microtelinn.com/golfdisc. If you can, please consider making your reservations through Microtel to show our support of their chain.

Their rates are quite reasonable, and they have plenty of options to choose from. The key here is to make sure to use the "Corporate ID: golfdisc" when making reservations.

Thanks so much for your consideration.

John D.

This may hlep out as well. Anyone looking for lodging should concentrate in the Conyers, Snellville, and Lithonia area.

Also forgot to add this link...

It is from an old Hotlanta tourney, but shows hotel locations and food.

Lenora park has recently opened a water park adjacent to the disc golf course. This may be of interest to anyone travelling with families or anyone who just wants to cool down after two HOT rounds at Lenora.

Jul 13 2006, 12:34 AM
I will be at Redan Friday before and after doubles to take late entries from all of the touring players who are interested in playing Hotlanta. Doubles will start at 6:00. It will be $10 buy in with four ctps and the ace fund. Total will be $15.

Jul 18 2006, 11:23 PM
The am side has 31 spots left. I have received a lot of calls and emails from people signing up this week and expect it to fill by this weekend. I will be updating the players list daily on the ADGO ( www.discgolfatlanta.com (http://www.discgolfatlanta.com) ) site and the PDGA site will be updated within a day or so. Please do not call to ask if there are any spots left or if I can save you a spot. Check the resources that are readily available and your questions will be answered.

Since I know the ams will fill up, that leaves the pro side. Please send your entry in as soon as possible. There will be a $25.00 late fee if you sign up day of.

Sorry about the delay in responding to the Microtel Inns & Suites sponsorship.

It's real simple, please just mention the "Corporate code=Golfdisc" when reserving a room with Microtel. Their rates are amazingly cheap and you'll have all the options of using your AAA discount, corporate discount or whatever the type of room you want.

Please consider using them whenever you are travelling, not just when it's disc golf related.

The "Golfdisc" corp ID is a tracking device that will show the hotel chain our loyalty to their support for our sport.

E-mail or call with any questions.

Redan Park Disc Golf Course

This course was designed by John David (Hall of Fame Inductee) and is the premier disc golf course in the Atlanta area. The locals put an unlimited amount of work into this course year round. Three PDGA sanctioned tournaments are held there annually. A good mix of pin positions, right and left shots, and slight elevation change. This was the site of the "Tournament of Champions" throughout the 90's. A must play if your in the Altanta area.

Lenora Park

This course has long rolling hills with nice cutt grass fairways. An easier course to score well on than Redan, but wind can play a factor. Very scenic and fun to play as rounds move smoothly. Bring your driver to this course as you will get to showcase your 'BOMB".

If your considering playing in "Hotlanta" Super Tour, go ahead and send Greaseman your bread. You will be happy that you did.

Jul 25 2006, 01:05 AM
There are 49 pro spots left and 18 am spots left. I have had tons of calls from people sending entry in. The am side will fill before this week is over. Please check the registered player's list at www.discgolfatlanta.com (http://www.discgolfatlanta.com) for the most current count. I am updating it every night. The registered player's list on this site gets updated every other day. Am players who don't get in on the am side will have the option of playing the pro side. Both fields are capped at 90. Thanks to everyone who registered early! See you at Hotlanta, and don't forget to bring a warm coat!

Will this be random draw regardless of division or will it be divisional?

Jul 28 2006, 10:56 PM
The doubles will be random draw for everyone attending. It will not be split in divisions. As for online registration, there is none. You will either have to mail in your entry or pay Friday night at doubles. Also, my email address is [email protected] Whoever posted it previously got it wrong.

Just got off the phone with Justin "Bunnell"
He said there was a playoff, but "Bunnell" will be on the 1st place trophy and the $1,100.00 check, not Jernigan BOOOOOOO-Yah!
He said he caught a litle fire and shot 2-43's today for the comeback win.

Nikko finished tied for 7th with Chris Herren and took the $225.00, So I guess he is officially pro now.
