Bad news from Course Dovillio; yesterday around 7 Jake Regeir dislocated his elbow by tripping over the cable by the parking lot. While he was sitting there in pain he witnessed a person rip hole 1's tee sign pole out of the ground.
The car this punk was driving was a Mitsubishi (galant?) and it had a 2 tone paint job on it...Jake can tell us more.
Let's keep an eye out for this guy, he had 3 dudes in the car with him.
Sorry Thong. :(

That is terrible, I got a call from the park rangers this AM in STL. With 2 basket from different parks missing now the park rangers have become very interested in disc golf. I told them who ever it is hopes we do not catch the person or persons because they will get a call but, (you fill in the blank). Sorry to hear that MC that is BS, to bad a few of you were not sitting there.

That sucks, both for Jake and for Tulsa disc golf. We're seeing more problems with people thieving baskets around here lately, after a couple of years of quiet time.
Get well, Jake!

Spineless little punks!!!!
Did they actually steal the basket or did they just pull it out of the ground? :(

Same here, the last person that stole a basket got caught accidently. The discgolf karma gods will take care of the situation in due time.

he dislocated his elbow, Cambagger...I'm sure Jake was in plenty of pain.
What I'd like to know is if anyone else was on the course to help the man get a tag #...until we all join together (no, not a hippie statement) as a team to catch these criminals we're not going to have much success. We have a description of the vehicle, at least there's that

That's the problem when these OKC guys transplant to Tulsa. When they fall they break something important like a leg, wrist, or elbow. When Tulsa guys fall we face plant, get up, shake it off and walk to the next tee pad.
Get well soon Jake. FF is coming up and even though Connors hasn't decided yet whether he wants to let you in or not, .....if he does then I don't want to feel guility for beating up on a cripple. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif :D

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes. I just got back from orthoscopic surgery on my left elbow. Thank goodness it was my left and not the right.
As for the vandals go, those of you that know me, know that there was a confrontation between the punks and myself. And no, I was not scared of a whoopin even though there were 3 of them and one of me with a broken arm. After I scolded them for several minutes, and threatened to pull them out of the car, they sped off. As they pulled away I attempted to bash their car with the tee sign but just couln't do it.
And Cam, I am SO sorry that I did not get the tag number. I am such an idiot for getting the car description and not the tag. I am sure that the Tulsa PD would have been allover these vandals if we just could have gotten a tag number. :p

What is the ultimate goal here? It would have been a great help for you to be so tough and whoop all 3 of them
Work smart , not hard. Being that you were in the situation you were (a broken arm) it would have been smarter to get the tag # and at least give the Police something decent to work with, instead of ...uh it was 3 black guys, about 6' 0 with white T's on driving in a cutlass. That narrows it down to oh, I'd say a few thousand or so.
I wish you the best and it sucks that it happened at all. But, I've been through enough to know that sometimes violence is NOT the way to go. Put it in the cops hands first and give them a chance. They could have looked up the tag and brought the owner/driver in for you to look at in a lineup. Then his punk asp would at least get a fine and community service.

I'm not trying to give anyone a bad time. What is wrong with getting a tag #? I never called him an idiot like he posted, look back through the thread. I'm just saying if you can take the time to go and "scold" them, then maybe he could have gotten a tag #. I feel bad for him cause he got hurt, but you get better results from turning in the tag # then from scolding someone. I don't even care if he wanted to whoop them (if I were there, I probably would have wanted to do the same)...whoop them, then get their tag # and turn it in, so someone is held responsible for the damage caused. If they did this at that course, how many other courses are these guys damaging. The goal is to get the people responsible for damaging the courses. The last thing I'm trying to accomplish is to rip on Jake, please don't take it that way.

They probably assumed he has their tag #. Sometimes worrying about when the cops are going to show up is worse than just getting it over with. I am sure this has thrown off their normal daily low life habits, laying low.
Not that I have personal experience, just imagining....

If the ultimate goal is making sure that these 3 little twerps to not vandalize our courses anymore, then that is what I accomplished with the tongue lashing that I gave them, you can tell when someone is scared and they definately were. I guarantee that they will think twice about doing something like that again.
I got news fir you Cam this ain't hicksville Tennessee, the cops here could give two chits if some kid pulled a metal pole out of the ground. Absolutely nothing would have got accomplished by turning in thier tag #, let alone a fine and some community service. Get real.
I certainly do not appeciate coming back to the board after elbow surgery and having you rip on me for not getting the **** plate #. Why don't you take the plate number and shove it where the sun don't shine. :o

I'll see ya in Tulsa you idiot. As if you don't know, I just moved here a year ago crackhead. We can fix this issue in about 3 1/2 weeks. Looks like your mouth is writing checks your asp can't cash. You can take your "tongue lashin" and apply is to DEEZ Nutz

Jerry Stacy went to play Hunter this morning. & 7 tee signs had been pulled from the ground and thrown into the creek and not the shallow part.
We're tired of messing with this so we have filed a police report and notified them of the frequency of the problems out there.
We did not lose any poles, we have all of them and they will be re-installed, PERMANATELY!

Dave,
Sorry to hear that. We found one our bags that disappeared. The best part is we know where he lives and working on a phone number and description. An (OLDER) guy is the only description we have right now and the guy had enough grape fruits to try and sell the bag and all the disc for $20 bucks. The golfer bought it and called the rightful owner. Simply amazing. Good luck at catching the low lifes that are doing the vandalism. This is definitely not the time to have this happening in T-Town. See you in <3 weeks.
Peace
