Format will be 2 rounds on Saturday, 2 rounds on Sunday. Whether or not we will be playing 3 courses is yet to be determined. In a month I'll know more about the staus of the Marx Meadow course. Currently we are waiting for the okay from the city to start work on the course

Crazy but true, as of tonight Mens AM1 AM2 and Am Masters Divisions are filled. Please do not send in any registration forms.
If you have already sent in reg forms I will contact you and start a wait list.
Am Women and all Pro divisions are still open, but filling quickly.

Is there going to be a friday doubles?

Aug 11 2006, 10:48 AM
No organized Friday Doubles. I will have a registration table set-up at tournament central to sign in and get players packs. Also the course will be staked out but no baskets on the temporary courses. You are welcome to play the holes.

Why is there 3 guys with a player rating over 915 playing in INT when they should be in ADV

That's nothing. Kalena Luxon is playing in the adv women's division with a 996 rating!

Her actual rating is 813. Someone input the wrong PDGA #. I think she'd have a chance to cash with that rating.

I said it after last years Safari and I'll say it again, something needs to change with the ratings system and automatic bumps. You should be allowed to at least play a few tournaments in Intermediate and get your feet wet before you are forced to play Advanced. Brendon Wear has played one and only one tournament, a 2 round tournament at that, and now he's forced to play Advanced! Are 2 rounds really enough to judge a players skill? Sorry, this is probably not the right thread to start this discussion, but I couldn't resist.

Way to go Rob for the tremendous effort of organizing this tournament. See you all on Saturday.

Well, almost. That other 999 next to my score isn't my player rating! Had to withdraw due to major lumbar problem. Could barely walk Sunday morning. Those planter boxes, er, tee boxes at Marx Meadow were the culprit for me.

Did get to meet Quickdisc though. Congrats Geoff, Sug, Juliana and the rest of the winners. Thanks Rob. Good show. KL

Are you all right now Kenny? Mike C. said you were having car trouble so I thought that might be the reason you weren't there. I couldn't match my first round score so I flailed to 4th. Jeff played great though and deserved to win. Great tournament, Great courses. I would really love to play them off of tee pads though.
