I'm gonna try to report on the final round (lead card) sort of live by typing into my laptop and uploading new posts here - http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=560451&page=0&view=&sb=5& o=&fpart=16&vc=1&PHPSESSID= - every few holes.
We have a bunch of folks within 3-4 strokes of the lead, and Josh Anton, Scott Martin, and Al Schack tied for first with Dave Fedberg one stroke behind on the lead card.

He's back on team Champion as of last week.
He's now only 15 points behind Barry in the NT points race,
Barry 480
Josh 465
Ken 460
Dave 390?
Getting interesting this year...
How about uploading the final scores?

Ditto about the scores - I'd like to see some other final standings than the top 4 - I believe there were more than 4 Open players in the tourney.

Bill Themm. I wonder if he cheated as bad as he did when I played with him last year at Edinboro????????? The guy didnt even complete one of the holes and threw a disc out of anger also. Guys like him should not even be allowed to play in the PDGA.

He played Open all weekend on the top cards so im sure he didnt do any cheating because the top pros dont put up with that!!! Oh and one other thing. Did you call him out on any of this or did you just watch it happen and keep your mouth shut because if thats the case YOUR the one who shouldnt be playing in the PDGA because you dont have the guts to call the rules!!!

I called him out on it. Had it seconded by the group members. Said "hey you never putted out back there and you just threw an disc also, so in actuallity you never holed out, therefore you should get a 2 stroke penalty as well as the penalty for throwing an extra shot" he just kind of shrugged it off. And he was the one keeping score at the time of the incident. I reported it to the TD immediately after the round and absolutely nothing was done about it.
It's the only time in 12 years that I have seen such bad sportsmanship

Actually he probably should have been DQ'd and thats a shame the TD didn't do anything about it, maybe that TD needs to be reported to the PDGA if he is allowing people to cheat.
According to the rules if you intentionally do not hole out that is a possible DQ. If you inadvertently do not hole out that is 2 strokes. So did he just walk off the hole knowing that he didnt hole out or did he forget to hole out? To hear that he went on w/o penalties is complete #$*&$!. Maybe the TD needs to explain why he waived the penalties and allowed PENCIL whipping. A minimum of 3 srokes should have been added, a DQ was probably more appropriate. Maybe someone needs to be suspended, either the TD or the said PDGA member.

I played DGLO last year and the TD showed some questionable behavior so this does not surprise me.

is the "M. Randolph" that finished at -10 Mike Randolph?
If so, great to see his name back in the thick of things at a big event.
perhaps he'll pay a visit to the last NT event on the 2006 tour?
he claims the Warwick (NY) course is one of his favorites and he's fared quite well there in the past.

Rob Hower is a great TD. If you look closer, the event in question is at Edinburo. I don't know where that is, but it's not near DGLO.

I think he may have been talking about when john ferry sent (or so it is said) Tommy O out to mess with Steve Mills during his second or third round, this year all was well and wonderfully run!

In the game of disc golf to label someone as a cheater is a very serious charge. Once a player is labeled as a cheater, fairly or unfairly, such a charge taints a players reputation forever.
For the past 5 years Critter Bill Themm has been a close friend and playing partner. I have probably played more rounds of golf in my career with Critter than anyone else. I find him to be a fine golfer and an honorable man. In the hundreds of competitive rounds I have played with Critter I have never heard his honesty questioned. I believe he has an excellent reputation among the top players in Michigan.
Sandalman, choose carefully your words in response to this posting, if at all, as they will influence the forum and nature of the official action taken against you for your libelous claims. A full apology would be a good start.

Im not saying he is a good or bad guy. BUt this incident was the worst thing I have seen since playing PDGA events in 1994.
I undertand the frustration that he had on the hole. He had a great round going and everything was cool. And then he blew up on one hole. threw it in the water. threw another shot ob onto the road and then dinked the putt. After the putt dinked off the rim he picked up his disc and threw it as hard as he could at the basket. this disc flew into the water, and then he proceeded to pick up his putter that just dinked the basket and walk to the next hole. he was keeping score so he wrote down his score as it would have been without any penaltys. Which is my eyes a serious offense of the rules.
I called him on the throw out of frustration and on not holing out.
The group stood behind me on the call. I told the TD (pat g) about the incident and I even had the other guy in my group come up and verify the incident with pat.
Pat said he would take care of it. 10 minutes later, Pat got a ticket for parking in the grass by the local campus police. The score of Bills card was never changed.
Now call me what you want, but this is just horrible sportsmanship. And it is a shame that the incidentg was not handled properly by the group.
now as for bill, he seemed like a cool guy. we had great fun in the round up till that point. It really put the rest of the group on edge for the end of the round.

and I will take back the word cheater. As I suppose that is not the right word. I have made my peace. It has been something that has bothered me for over a year.
And I do not think that I have done anything wrong by stating the situation. If you are going to have rules, then everyone needs to follow them.
