I'm pleased to announce that disc golf has it's first National sponsor in the form of Microtel Inns and Suites (http://www.microtelinn.com/).
I have been working with the company for the last month and a-half, and they are very excited about getting on board with our sport.
Please consider supporting this small, but growing hotel chain during any of your travels this summer or for the rest of the year. They are setting up a special disc golf page on their Web site, which will be up in two weeks.
FOR NOW...please use the Corporate ID "golfdisc" when reserving your room on the phone. While the prices around the country will vary according to where you are staying, using this code will make sure that our disc golf community gets credit for supporting this sponsor.
Microtel will be the title sponsor for the $30,000 Ace Run in San Antonio in September, and they will be making a $1000 donation to the International Disc Golf Center in Georgia.
While we are off to a modest start, by showing Microtel that our players and families will support their chain, it will put us in great position for getting them back in 2007 during our National Tour.
