i'm on the search for a super high speed stable mid-range. I've been having a problem with burning my pro roc's (brand new and beat) really hard any time i try to but some real straight tight distance on it. i still want the same LSS as a roc though. Also, i want it to last more than a few months.
I think a star roc might be my answer but can't find one in the weight i want and i dont want to spend 3x the money and find out it isn't what i want.
I use a q-sentinal for an overstable mid. Could try that, a gator or a star gremlin.

Proline Gremlin or STAR Gremlin. No doubt about it!
The Gator is a very stable mid-range.!
Proline Gremlin is the best overall mid out there for me (got 3 of them). Since they beat into more of a straight flyer for me, I use a Q-Sentinal for an overstable mid. The lower profile of the Gremlin should help stop any griplocking that may be happening with someone using a Roc and shouldn't ever turn over too much no matter how much you put on it.
BTW, I threw a STAR Gremlin yesterday, it flew very similar to the Proline but it is not the same mold.

Gateway Demon 175G. Most overstable midrange on the market! I have 4 ace's with this butter disc!
And predictable! Great for big arm's!

Q-SENTINEL
Think of the ORIGINAL 2001 CE ROC, now add steroids and you got what you want. The opaque Q-SENTINEL is still the same disc and material of the of the 2001 CE ROC.
I used to throw the 2001 CE ROC and still have the original and several others(originals). I bought several to back up the one I was using in case it ever got lost or beat in too much. Now they are on the wall or in the desk where they belong, collecting money for the future. :o:D
Wouldn't trade it (Q-SENTINEL) for anything in the world.

I would take the new Star Gremlin or wait for Dave to make the STar Gremlin-x mold :)
I already have bought 3 star gremlins and can't wait to pick up the x-mold some day.
thx vegan for hooking me up with the DX!

E element X from Gateway, best of both worlds, very stable to slightly overstable, and probally the most glide on any mid I have ever thrown.
If you have a chance try the red ones they are absolutley MONEY!!!

Why don't you try correcting your form. If you are flipping your rocs over, you are obviously having a mechanical error.

Champion Shark, the poor man's Champion Roc! Flies like a brand new Dx Roc. This may be the most overlooked mid on the market.

I totally agree ... IF your form is off, it's pretty easy to flip even the most stable Roc. Make sure your release is smooth and that you're not bringing your arm down to much after release ... I can flip any Roc if my follow through is not hyser or flat. Knowing how to, and what makes a Roc flip is not necessarily a bad thing. ;)

I am seeing this a lot with the newer players even the ones with a lot of natural craft, poor mechanics and no desire to really learn so instead of gutting it out and learning to throw that roc on a rope from 350 they flex the wraith instead.
Maybe I am just of a different school of thought, but can you imagine Tiger musceling a wedge or backing off a 5 iron becuase he couldnt hit a 6-7-8 or 9? How many titles would that guy have if he couldn't hit any club you stick in his hand?

The Demon is very predictable but i can't get any distance with it.

I like the new runs of the Element-x. It's like a KC Roc or Z-Wasp stability wise...but with more speed.

Try the Blaze. It has been working well for consistency in the wind. I like it for hyzers 280-330. Ill throw the Demon if I want something to get up and down very quickly.

Element x is a great middie, but not super stable. If the demon is too overstable check out somewhere like ebay or marshall street for a scout, which is just a less stable demon but still super stable. Although to be honest if ur flipping kc pro rocs you might just wanna work on your form cause i dont know anyone that can hyzerflip and roll a kc roc and I know some huge arms.

For stable midrange, I use a 05 SB Roc or my 1st run Champ Shark, they are oddly similar. For overstable I have an 05 Spectator Roc, it's a meathook for sure.

How much stability , exactly ?
How much power /strength do you have ?
What distance range you looking for ?
Do you have a specific manufacturer ?
Reason I'm asking is there is quite a few excellent choices out there to choose from.

Hmmmmmmmm...............OK , let's start with these.
Champion Shark
Champion Gator
Champion Coyote ..............
More stable ....................Champion Whippet !!!!
All these can take a beating for a long time and still fly like new.

I like the new runs of the Element-x. It's like a KC Roc or Z-Wasp stability wise...but with more speed.
Echo that - the Element X is a predictable overstable mid-range. It will perform more consistent than the Roc due to it's rim configuration.

Ive used one as my main midrange ever since they came out and there are only cosmetic scuffs on it. It straightened out a little with the first few major tree hits (like pretty much any disc) but hasnt changed at all since. Has a flightpath like a slower teebird for me- doesnt turn over unless its a big headwind, doesnt fade REALLY hard but definitely tails off a bit at the end.

I think they are referring to the Element-X whic is overstable for those with smooth clean releases.
The Regular Element can be touchy for those with off axis rotation, but very predictable for really smooththrowers.
How far can you throw a putter off the tee?
BTW, A drone is an exact copy of a demon, but doesnt last near as long!

I have had my proto drone in the bag since they came out and it's still a pig. I wouldn't say the drone is an exact copy of the demon but pretty close. The drone just feels a lot better in my hand and the plastic is grippier.

I agree. Certain stiffer putters and Certain softer putters fly great for those direct shots on holes around 300+.
I tend to tower my fingers a bit under the rim when throwing Putters a good distance. Reason I do this is you really need to put more lift and reach to get your putter/driver to stay aloft longer. Also adds more float to the brick , so they say !!!!
Great training disc golf tool , to drive with just your putters !!!!

Yup, I agree, wizards are good driving-putters. Cryztal Challengers are very good as well; my favorite, in fact. You can also get some really BIG, straight, tailwind-D with both of them as well.

Without looking through all of the posts my answer would be a Champion Rhyno solid color if you can find it they fly great and I am also becoming partial to a Champ Spyder.
