I am putting together a two round mini-tournament at my brother-in-laws ranch at Chappell Hill , Texas. The ranch is just south of Chappell Hill approximately 45 minutes Northwest of the 290/1960 intersection. The course will be set up on an 18 hole "Cowboy Golf" course that plays around a 10 acre lake. Several of the holes tee off the top of a 50 foot dam and three of the holes involve water, one being a true island green that is surrounded by water with a bridge on and a bridge off.

POWERS INDUSTRIES
EBERLY RANCH OPEN

The entry fee will be 25.00 for all divisions.

( $5.00 of which goes to the Texas States fund for next years supertour.)

As this is a non sanctioned event, 100% of the money that is left will be paid out in cash to all divisions (top third/pro and top half/am divisions)---No Plastic.

Any money raised from disc sales (club merch) drinks and such will go directly to the HFDS. I already have a commitment for two hole sponsorships and if I can collect a few more I would like to pay out based on 100% of the entry fees collected.

SCHEDULE:
Sign up is 8:30 to 9:30
Players meeting at 9:30
Tee of 10:00 sharp, be there on time!

FORMAT:
First round will be singles.
Second round will be doubles (matched high/low score within division, with any extra player will play calais rules).

Your doubles score will count as your second round score to compute your final standing.

Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Check out the ranch web site at www.eberlyranch.com (http://www.eberlyranch.com) as they have four or five bed and breakfast accommodations available and they have directions there also.

If you wish to view last years pictures, click the following link:
photo albumn page. (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/[email protected]/album?.dir=/f18f&.view=t)

Be sure to bring plenty of food and your faverite beverages ( beer is OK ) as the nearest store is 8 Miles in either direction ( Chappell Hill or Belville).

Thanks in advance for your support,
Mr Ed

Looks like summer-time temps have finally arrived...

Good thing we'll have the spring to cool off in after the tournament this weekend! :D

Come on gang...this looks like a totally cool facility to have an annual tournament at! Post up something if you are planning on coming. Ed needs an estimate of how many folks are coming so he can plan our lunch.

Hope to see a bunch of you up there this weekend!

The weather forecast for Chappell Hill is a little bit better than it is for Houston!

Tomorrow's weather forecast for Chappell Hill. (http://www.weather.com/outlook/health/allergies/wxdetail/USTX0238?dayNum=1&from=36hr_fcst_allergies)

With the high of 84 degrees and a breezy day, it should be a fine day for some disc golf!

The Eberly Ranch is a beautiful piece of real estate for a disc golf course!

Very well groomed and mowed. The "tin cup" hole #7 was too much for me - especially in that cross wind! 5 drivers in the drink for me...then I had to run up, retrieve 2 of my missed shots, missed the 6th drive too before I finally dropped one on the island green.

I managed to get all of my discs back except for my signature Sheila Kirkham Discraft disc. It was sitting on the bottom of the pond near the bridge between the two island greens. When I went back for the disc at lunch time, the discs was gone! Someone had to have picked it up, but it never got returned to me!

Great time, great course, I'll be back again next year for sure! Thanks for the great tourney Ed!

Happy to say I made the island with my first shot both rounds! Know there's some pictures floating around, will have to round some up to share.

I would expect this event to grow. Property makes oldtimers think back to memories of Seven Oaks.............think we'll be back in a big way!

Thanks again to Mr. Ed, Teresa and Dufrane for his baskets!
