call em gummy call em rubber
whatever
I had gotten one a few months back from Sunking discs (@15 bucks) and its become my #1 short approach and woods disc.
Its made of that grey pro rubber plastic they make the rhynos from. So far its held up nicely sept the dome has caved in a little makeing it a little more overstable (which is great for those fore hand snap shots)
Can anyone out there tell me how I can get some more?
(if there is anyone from innova reading this, please put this disc in production , its a awesome utility disc!)

I hear ya buddy. I have one too, and it is my go to disc. Been waging a silent campaign to run a batch. They are dead straight 300 ft and then drop when they hit the ground. No skip, no nothing. I love them for short drives and approaches, but also for anything that MUST go straight. Mine has been used a lot, and is just slightly flippy. I want another. Wish they hadn't all gone to Sunking, I could have used a few more.
I will forward your note on to Sam.
I too think it should be a production disc. It's probably the straightest mid-range at high speed, and the most stable at low, but NO SKIP. Awesome for approaches onto the back of hills, in pine needles, dry dirt, etc. I've had an almost ace with it, but it bounced out. Only time I was bummed it was so soft. Add some color and it's the best winter mid-range EVER! No more painful hands after hard throws.
It's always entertaining to hold it out before a drive and it's drooping down. But as soon as you release it it's stiff like a CD. I think it removes flutter because it's so soft, that it simply finds the most efficient way to spin. That is probably what makes it so straight....... Then when it's slowing down the RPMs, the dome comes back and it remembers that it's so sickly overstable.

It's nice to have a relationship with your plastic like that. :)

I refuse to beleive that only 3 of us use these. Is everyone else collectors and not throwing em cause they dont want to tarnish their mint condition?

hahaha...I just nabbed both...thank you way too much..
I just cant believe the bids weren't higher.
Rubber Sharks are one of those "gee these are one off disc should I throw these or save them"
I for one see the great value they have when used in a game.
I found out the one I have was one of the 100% rubber mix (no Plastic) that was limited to @70 or so. I also heard someone ran some sharks in the Pro Rhyno mix by mistake. Who knows what really went on. Either way I've pulled off some really impressive shots with it.(actually got applause last week when I almost pulled off a near impossable birdie that rolled out of the basket)
ah well...
If only we can convince Innova or *gasp* Discraft to run a soft midrange disc...

I played with Mark Molnar at the Halloween Classic last year. He had some KC Rocs that were in the JK type plastic. He said they were mistakes. He has some for sale at discgolfvalues.com.

Well done Drew. $13.00 for 2 of these things, new perfect condition and even a rare yellow one.
I'll do you one better, take $3 off shipping because I will have room to bubble wrap both of them & still get them in one Priority Mail box.
I still have 2 more rubber ones @ 177 grams that will likely not see the light out of their storage box for anywhere near what they sold for last night.
Can't believe I gave it up so easy, you didn't even have to buy me dinner or get me drunk.
Not getting my two jewels :o(the 177's) even if you talk sweet (maybe if we talk reserve pricing).
Congrats.
At least the Oilers came to Raleigh and found oil & flood water don't mix. What a great game, shorthanded in OT facing elimination.
One of the best games of the playoffs.

Anyway heres an update.
From what I understand the "rubber" Shark was a test run that was pressed in limited numbers and given out to a few players to see how they liked the fee,l etc. of the disc.
Apperently it didnt go over too well and Innova decided not to run them in this plastic. The plastic is the same as the old soft Omega putters and is very resistant to any damage.
The one I just now got was still in the bag which I'm thinking was the original bag with the markings 0766 11-27-05
Disc Number and Date when it was sent out maybe?
I dunno..cause I thought these were made a few more years ago than just last year.
Anyway thats what I know so far if anyone knows anything else or has corrections to my info fell free to give your input.

Probably, but I really can't remember. It was years ago. All I remember is they were a grayish green and soft and grippy.

I already groveled to Dave about putting it into production. and he said there were no plans on doing so.
Oh btw Dave, the 2 I have now are greyish white 175 g and 176 g.
I just love useing them when I have a 100-200 foot woods shot where I dont want to ricochet off trees if I hit one. Its definitely helped me out a few times in saving strokes. Its also great for lay ups since it has zero skip. :D
