My son, Jarred Martinez PDGA #26811, hit an ace on hole #13 on the Ace Run course in Lafayette, LA at the Psycho Fish Bayou Bogey Tournament on Sat. May 27. He threw a 168g Star Firebird forehand shot. It was his 1st ever Ace. He has been playing disc golf for 2 yrs. Our home course is Klein Park in Beaumont, TX.

I was wondering if Jarred is the youngest to ever ace in a sanctioned PDGA tournament?

I'll ask Shane Lynch today. I remember him getting aces when he was 8 years old. I'll see if any were in PDGA events.

Wow, Wow. It wouldn't finish posting this morning. Shane said he got an ace in the 2002 Worlds when he was 10 years old.

you mean Hysell's first ace at the Grange? I've watched JG ace the corralle hole, and there've been bagillions of tiki aces (as I'm sure you're well aware, Ms. Rhonda John Ritter Stick!)

Hey everybody, this thread is about a 12 year old and his ace. It's not about me. I'm sorry this thread was hijacked.

Congratulations Jarred. I hope you have many more.

At this point, I'm not sure if you mean my son's Ace or Chris'!? Jarred's was 130 ft. of "I'm in the Ace pot and it doesn't matter how far it was" bliss!

I told Jarred I'd give him $50 for his 1st Ace. Maybe I should just turn over the money I won for the CTP for the other Ace pot in the same tournament. :D
