Starts at Endicott park at Dawn. Small groups traverse the areas finest courses and break speed records to complete all the courses in 1 day. Be sure to bring a cooler and picnic style lunch, you won't have much time for breaks. Suggested routes to and from each course will be provided. Pre-reg at St Louis Disc Golf (www.stldiscgolf.com) . Visiting players are encouraged, come alone or with a group. All courses will be reserved for participants, play through everybody you see. Can you say ready golf? Expectant Moms and those with heart problems may want to reconsider.

Sounds fun! How many courses will that be?
On July 8th we'll be holding the 8th annual NC Great 8 where we play 8 courses in one day.
Since we've been doing it for a while I've put together some information about what you need for the day. Send me an email if you want to look at what I've got.
For me the hardest part is always back pain from bending over more than 500 times, so watch how you bend over to get your discs.
Have fun,
Lowe

I don't have the list yet. We will for sure play the 4 St Louis Open courses as well as White Birch, St Charles Baptist and Quail Ridge that are 18 holes each. We also usually throw in Collinsville IL that is 18 also and we have 3 9 hole courses all nearby. It is so tough. I'm gonna forehand and roll a lot I think.

"King of the Lake" in Tahoe is pretty grueling.

We're toning down and playing 6 18 holes this year. Not too tough, start at 6 am play Endicott - Sioux Pass - Hazelwood - Quail Ridge - Baptist Church and Creve Coeur. Hazelwood and the Church are dinkers, Endi and Quail are medium Sioux will be easy as it ever will be. Creve is a Par 65+ course to finish the day. Nikko will be about 50 under on the day if he plays. Come down for the weekend and sleep Sunday.

To answer the question- No, it's not the hardest single day Tourney. At the NC Great 8 we play 8 courses in one day compared to your 6. This is our 8th year to do it. We play Sat. 7/8.

Lowe,
being from NC I agree with you but one must alway consider the Charlotte Ironman as well. While at the PB I heard rumors of Reedy Stout, Charlotte's Web, and Renny Gold possibly included with other courses around the area. If you played all longs for the Great 8 that might be tougher.

I guess it matters how you determine "hardest". IMO that should include 2 factors-- 1) the number of holes played and 2) the difficulty of the holes played. My post mainly was mainly based on factor 1. We play 144 holes on 8 courses of 18 holes. In the process we walk about 14 miles. They only played 6 courses (and were they all 18 holers?), and Charlotte only played 5, if I'm not mistaken.
As for the second measure- hole difficulty- I have no access to objective data about St. Louis so this would be very hard to compare. Several of the Great 8 courses are not too hard. The Charlotte courses you named certainly are tough. If they played those courses with a total of 144 holes it could claim the title of "hardest".
(BTW, just quantifying "difficulty" is not as easy as it might seem. The question is "Difficult to do what?". I've been working on this for a few years and testing several difficulty factors that can give more objective numerical values. For me an important criteria is "How difficult is it to shoot par?" , but that leads to the quagmire of "what is par?" that ther is no consenus on. Oh well...)
P.S.- If you want to see some of these Difficulty Factors that I mentioned check out my Google Group "DG Course Reviews". I'll eventually post some summary reports that tie all of the courses together.
