i will be leaving arkansas after the belle grove street fair to take a summer job in minnesota. the contract runs from june 1st thru august 20th. i will be working at the boy scout high adventure base called northern tier. northern tier is a canoeing base that has treks throughout the boundry waters in the northeastern corner of minnesota and parts of canada. basically i will be a guide for the scouts while they spend two weeks floating the waters and building trails. best thing is i will be getting paid for this. yeah theres the downside of very little discgolf during the summer but the upside is i will be helping to mold young scouts into mature adults while teaching them important skills that will help them out in life. lord help us. :D

have fun throwin the new and improved alma course while i'm gone. we need to get a few rounds in before i leave.

sat i'll be at the red cross most of the day to update my cpr and first aid. class should be out around 4. after i grab a bite i can swing down to alma for a round.

i will be out at the most excellent alma course around 6 this evening. i will be meeting evan to throw a round and discuss the street fair. if you would like to throw a round and get involved in the street fair come on out and check out the new course and play a round with two finger slinger and superd. bring ur extra discs you'll need them. :D

Treeshark and I will be there right after school playing until we can finish a round or die of exhaution.(I went with the school to BG today and 5 of my boys and I played the back nine, it was hot but I managed a +2) Hopefully I can survive 18 at Alma! If we can kill enough time I'll try and at least see you for a few minutes to talk about the fair. I am definetely still in for that. Should be great for DG.

talked with justin yesterday about the fair. the house tours will be starting around 10 on sat and 12 on sun. there will be groups setting up booths starting at 8. i will no longer be employed the friday before the fair, :Dso i will be able to be out at the fair both days to help make this the best street fair the bellegrove area has seen. we need to get in touch with phil about the tents. evan has the tv i have the dvd player extension cords are needed. any kind of disc golf information we can have out there will be great. i'm planning on having at least two to three baskets that we can work with. the whole street fair will be held on sixth street. were looking at having around twenty organizations out there. wafda is the only one that will be sport related. lets make this event one to remember.

DG is big in Minnesota Dave. Take your plastic and show them scouts how to play object golf :D.

coming back is still up in the air. i have family in vermont that i would like to go see. i have always had an open invite to come up and stay for a few months. so if i can afford to make it over there after my contract i might be there for a few months. find a job look for a place to stay, who knows what might happen. if that dosen't work out i have friends in durham sc that i could stay with. i guess i dosen't really matter where i end up just as long as the journey there is good. i'm pretty excited about it. last time i was away from ar for a good deal of time was when i went overseas with the military. that was back in 97-99. i've been in ar since then. so i guess i don;t really know right now when or if i will make it back to the fort.

played in the alma mini today. dubs format. myself and treeshark teamed up and shot 4 down with 1 bog. although most of the holes in the woods are short they are tough. good course.

well it looks like i will be leaving the fort around 7 this evening to head up to guard the canadian border from all the canucks trying to gain freedom and independence and good bacon in the good ol u.s. of a.

made i up here just fine. stopped off in duluth on the way and took a dip in one of the great lakes. don't remember which one it was but it was far superior to the others ;)
