I just wanted to let everyone know out there that Shawn Ennis (Mile High Disc Golf member) makes SWEET disc golf baskets and sells them at a great price. They are all custom made. He has made several and are around at many Colorado courses.

Take a look at his site and the baskets:

If interested in getting a basket tell Shawn that Koz told you about him. The guy makes some sick baskets!!! Plus he is helping out with sponsoring this year's Region VII Disc Golf Championships. With money I make from the raffle at this event I will be purchasing a basket from Shawn for all those that play the X to enjoy!! Please support people that support disc golf events that you play in.

Koz

Why would I pay $380+ for a non name-brand basket?

They are cool though...

But the Starfish? Come on.

This is a great basket ... period. I had fun putting into it last weekend ... catches really well, as good as any professional basket out there ... and I own a Chainstar.
Cleanly made ... highest quality materials I have seen. The only basket that might top it is a Titan Pro, for pure quality of craftsmanship, good looks, and for catching discs.

Sorry it took so long to reply to your questions about these baskets.
The complete portables are the same cost as the permanent.
They have an all steel tripod base and breakdown into 6 components.
As far as chroming a basket it can be done, but that would be a special case and something would have to be worked out.

Good on ya, Basketweaver. Specs look solid and the targets look great. And Red Hair, take it from a GreyBeard, an awful lot of golfers started out on something way less cool than the Starfish. Although I have to admit Yadkinville, NC post tonepoles rocks.

Weaver, have you submitted your baskets to the PDGA Tech Standards committee? Do you plan to?

Haven't yet, but definetly plan on it in the near future. I don't forsee a problem with the Pdga rejecting them.
