A post has come up on our local site. Thought I bring the question over here.

Our course at Banklick Woods has 24 holes. Depending on the tourney, one of several variations could be used. 18, 20, 22, 24, different runs all create several possible combinations. Anyone have any ideas on a naming convention?

The colors usually mean the same trac with differernt placements creating varying degrees of difficulty. We are talking about an 18 hole trac vs a 24 hole trac (among others).

Any ideas?

Probably the easiest is to hybridize the configuration name, ie: Gold, Blue, Red, White and the number of holes using that configuration so you have a Gold-18, Gold-20, Gold-..., Blue-18, Blue-20, etc....
