I thought people might be interested to see how close Lake Olmstead is in relation to Augusta National Golf Club. It's only about 1,200 feet down Raes Creek from Amen Corner to our tournament headquarters, overlooking the lake. Riverview Park in North Augusta is less than 3,000 feet across the Savannah River from hole 9 at Lake Olmstead, however you have to drive several miles downstream to cross the river into South Carolina.

The 2006 Worlds will definitely be one of convenience as all of the courses are within six to seven minutes driving time of each other. We plan on having a food vendor preparing and selling lunch each day at the Julian Smith Casino (HQ) and we will encourage the competitors to stop in on their way to their next course to cool off and have lunch together.
