Sweet! I'm in the first group. I've got a 25% chance of being the leader in the clubhouse if I can get past my group! "Top o' the World" to ya!

Wow, Kenny is good . . . . look at Rico's ratings, then try to imagine shooting 11 strokes better . . .

Another awesome weekend in Santa Cruz!! Climo was on auto-pilot on that course all weekend. That boy is smoooooth. HIs final Roc from the Top of the World was perhaps the straightest 500 foot shot I've ever seen. A nice crowd-pleasing 2 to finish off a solid tourney for "The Champ".
USDGC qualifiers: Gregg Barsby, Phil Brathwaite, Myles Harding, Roger Cansler, and Steve (Running Man) Lonhart. Masters were ineligible to qualify(and a lot were not too happy about it).
Thanks, Rob Harding, for all of the "house-pitality"! :D

Does anyone know how the Master's division played out - the results page still seems to show a tie for first?

Climo cruises to win, Doss fifth in disc golf Masters Cup (http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/archive/2006/May/15/sport/stories/01sport.htm)

SANTA CRUZ In disc golf, when a player can do no wrong, that player is sometimes said to have the "Ken Climo Touch." And, in the words of Santa Cruz pro golfer Nate Doss, "when the guy the touch is named for has it, it's really tough."

I don't know how the leaders in Masters finished because we left, but the last hole of regulation was pretty crazy.
Geoff, Tom(Embree) and Oates were tied with a 2 stroke lead over Ginnelly. Meyers was already in with a -7 off the 2nd card, and Hammock moved to 1 behind No-spin with a 13 under. Oates and Embrees' drives were long and south of 1s tee and both had tough shots to get around the huge bush guarding the basket. Geoff made a huge putt to save a bogie. Next Oates and Embree both had bad up shots that left them with tough par putts. Oates went 1st and missed. Now all Embree had to do was make his putt and he wins (1st win). The crowd was really pushing for him, but he missed and went about 25' past. Now it's Ginnellys' turn. He's sitting about 28-30' even with the basket, no OB behind the basket, (because he had a side angle putt), for birdie and a 5-way tie with Meyers, Oates, Embree & Lissaman. I think he might have got the lock :(. Next Embree walks up to clean up his 4, and promptly tray putts to end up with a 5, tied 1 back with Ginnelly and Hammock.

Just wanted to give a big fat THANK YOU to Tim and Courtney Messer for hooking up all the players with Jamba Juice after our round on Sunday! I believe this is the second or third year they have done this. So, you guys are awesome, thank you!!!

Those ratings look weird. Climo shoots 72 in the second round and it is rated at 1076. He then shoots 5 strokes better in the third round, carding a 67, and it's only rated 1064.
What happened to Sprague? Playing with an injury?

They have different course layouts at Dela and I suspect it was some shorter pins for the final round?

May 16 2006, 12:52 PM
We played 27 holes with all shorts the final round, where the first two rounds we played 28 holes with all the long pins.
I think they said that the live scoring would only work for a 27 hole layout.
Anyway you look at it that guy is the man!!

The only hole that didn't go shorter the last round was #27. The rest of them went to alternates if there were alternatives available.
