Flyer? Which course(s)? More info please...it's less than two weeks away!

tokyo
Jun 22 2006, 07:37 PM
King is the TD and I dont think there will be a lot flyers posted. It is a Mitches house where has enough room to set up 18 holes. Right now it is on the nine hole shorts that he did for minis a few months back. It is a B tier so regestration might go along the same lines of the Pro AM. I hear the set up is going to be nice a lot tunnel shots and roped strecthed around for OB to make things interresting. I will try and keep you posted just remind in the next week cause since it is one course I believe it will be caped at 90.

tokyo
Jun 24 2006, 12:23 AM
I think this next week at some point he will open up the course to the public but he might charge a dollar or two as a green fee to raise the tourny I am not sure but it should be open to the public before the tourny.

CB2
Jun 24 2006, 12:25 AM
So do you think that your gonna take this tournament Tokyo?.

tokyo
Jun 24 2006, 12:29 AM
Well I just found out I have to work at 530 but I might be able to push that back a bit but it depends on when the first and second rounds start I might be able to play and go staright to work and that is what I hope. He scheduled me so that I can have off all week for AM Worlds but I think I should play the tourny but I have never seen his course long just short and without OB.

CB2
Jun 24 2006, 12:31 AM
I have never seen his course long just short and without OB.

????????

tokyo
Jun 24 2006, 12:38 AM
During his mini's it was a nine hole short with two pads they were all short like throwing a roc or buzz hole some required turing something over but from what I hear it is all about control and accuracy.

CB2
Jun 24 2006, 12:42 AM
**** no long hole's?! That mean's everybody has a chance I only do good on long course's.

CB2
Jun 24 2006, 12:48 AM
I only have 5 different kind's of disc in my bag. Aviar's,Gator's,Star Tee-Rex's,Star Wraith's and a lot of Firebird's that's all you need to win.

tokyo
Jun 24 2006, 12:57 AM

You know how it is I don't the highest paying job in the world I wait tables for living so lets let our game speak for its self if I could afford to put up cash in a tourny to get cash back then I would be playing pro. And you beat me at Z Boaz and tied at the GPO those are the only tournaments that we have played the same divison.

I dont think that the course will open to the public unless you are tight with Mitch Friday will be the first time you can play the course.

okcacehole
Jun 27 2006, 12:12 AM
Mitch Mac or anyone besides the 3 yahoo's above :Dthat are running this...do we have a chance of a players list yet?...can I get this from Mr Power or King???...

I miss the good 'ol days of the bracket tournies and maybe we will see that later this year..but I'd like to see who may or may not play before traveling to OKC..

DJ started this event is the rumor.... :D

tokyo
Jun 27 2006, 12:16 AM
I tlaked to King at the mini tonight and he said it is a standard tourny, but said there is a lot cash and prizes added to this tourny and there will not be a final nine for the Pros but there will be something going on Sunday night with some kind of doubles or something alot of this is still up in the air though.

okcacehole
Jun 27 2006, 12:22 AM
I know Mitch will do a great show, but I don't want to hit OKC for a 30 player event...and there isn't much talk besides those that MAY show...

I dont think there is going to be alot of people at this event. :(

tokyo
Jun 27 2006, 01:58 AM
King said it was not his fault and Mitch has told people to show up. I m expecting something like States its been listed and it is a B tier you should come it will be a good time had by all.

CB2
Jun 27 2006, 02:09 AM
I don't think there will as many people as there were at state's. I have not seen any flyer's in okc. I think there will be between 40-45 :(. Is there tee-pad's at his course? I will be there defiantly :cool:will you?

tokyo
Jun 27 2006, 02:13 AM
I just switched shifts on Saturday so I don't have to work untill 630 so I will be there cause it is a short course and rounds wont take more than two hours to play. The normal turn ount for thins tourny used to be around 40-50 people when it was unsanctioned and match play so hopefiuly more people will come out. King thinks just cause it is listed as a B tier that people will come without a flyer. There arent any flyer in Norman either I just hope people can use this site and decide to come.

CB2
Jun 27 2006, 02:21 AM
Yea I will be happy if there is between 15-20 adv player's. What about cement tee-pad's any? what course would you compare to be about the same difficulty to Mitch Mac's?.....928 player rating tokyo..movin up

tokyo
Jun 27 2006, 02:25 AM
Thanks for noticeing I think I ve been playin pretty good. There r no concrete tee pads but there will only be 2 may be 3 holes that are over 300' its short tight with a lot of rope that lines that r OB.

CB2
Jun 27 2006, 02:35 AM
Yea the last 2 tournament's you have been doing good 5th at the pro/am and 5th at state's you have been beating some good player's...that sux that there are only 2 or 3 hole's over 300 feet that's where i catch some stroke's at on hole's 400 or longer.

tokyo
Jun 27 2006, 02:39 AM

Can Coda get one for me if Freds doesn't have one?

CB2

LOL.. Playing with the girl's and having the people watch just fueled the fire.. + I didn't want to shoot bad and get embarraused. tokyo
Jun 27 2006, 03:48 AM
Nope I took a 5 I birded the 17to 18 basket and pared number 4,6. I shot a six over the last nine holes which didn't hurt much cause the guy gave me choice of waht ever discs I wanted, I left with a Champ Orc clear which is my number 1 driver, Z surcge with grip, and Buzz GT and Bangger GT. I traded the Buzz GT for a Z Surge without a grip so i did good on plastic.

Thanks guys! I had fun playin' off with you guys too. I was kinda worried going into that playoff, cuz I heard from someone that you guys would hate playin' with the ladies. I heard you guys were going to be sooooo mad about it. But, I figured that was a silly perspective...most T-Town guys love to play with the ladies every now and then. I'm glad that you were cool with it. Too bad I missed that 10 foot putt on hole one, though. I was a little nervous playin' with ya'll, I must say!

It was only 2 holes (that the girls played with ya'll) - it couldn't have been that bad. Think about how we felt! What we really wanted was a final 9 with all 3 ladies.
