Kevin, I want to support his event, but we are going to need everyone at Haikey?
Any Ideas?

I will be at Haikey, but will be paying my entry either way. I know you already get $25.00 of it back with a gift certificate from the F & H. I don't have the flyer in front of me at the moment, but once I do I will put up more info when I have it.
With $25.00 that is 9 blue moons and a tip on a Friday! :D
This is Matt Shipleys event
We all would love to support it and be there for the work day also.
I wouldn't pass any judgement of anyone that wanted to play but I would also like people to be out to work also.
I'm hoping that Matt attracts the rec players that just play Riverside and the regular locals can make their own mind up about what to do. If we have to proper equipment (AUGER) it shouldn't take that long to knock out Haikey

Don't kid yourself there will always be those hand full that will never work but always play.

I am like Thong in the fact that I will pay my entry to Matt's event but will be at Haikey working. Don't be too optimistic about knocking Haikey out quick that day. Stop and think for a moment, most all of the baskets and signs need to be moved and we have to pour five tee pads. The tee pads will take half the day and we will need lots of workers to get all of them dug up and moved.

Yeah but I want a sweet players pack! :(
You know where I'll be, I'll be a donor myself, maybe I can work that double bonus, employee discount ;)
Things I'd rather do than spend a day at the River?
1. Test a staple gun on my gnads
2. Take a swim at the Fountain Hills Disc Golf Course pond...reclaimed khah khah water
3. Gargle regurgitated pees from a sick baby
It is a good cause though and we all know there will be PLENTY of people ready for the RIVVVVVER.
The River is WESTPORTS bytch!

I don't doubt the positive intent, but what about supporting the already scheduled NWA Doubles in Alma?
Don't know Matt, but ARK has earned the right to not have this event scheduled the same day.
Just food for thought.

The ones from Arkansas running the Alma event are not any of the ones that have been coming over to work.
Since the events are two hours driving time apart, it shouldn't be an issue. Also, Tulsa didn't schedule this event. Matt from the Fox-n-hound did. I think that there will be enough players to support both events. ;)

PDGA has distance standards on sanctioned events....might check into that.
This event is a nonsanctioned event. The mileage standards only is in effect when the two events are PDGA sanctioned.
The River event is about good times and a good cause

You know not everyone that plays DG down at the River really cares about DG or getting any better at DG. It's all about the THE VIEW . Maybe what they really are looking for is to accidentally plant their disc in some hot joggin babes (_._) :)....Thus creating a possible love connection.
Yea!.....Those casuals may be looking for love in all the wrong places but at least " THE VIEW " is abundant and most of the babes speak english. ;)
On top of that......Everyone knows that you were born in the back of a van down by the river so quit diss'n your childhood stomping ground. ;) :D
I used to think the scenery was good also until Stu Perry and myself were on hole 18 watching this "IT" walk over the bridge, in a yellow top and a SHORT black mini skirt, black high heels. Stu said WOWZA "look at that hot piece of @##."
As "IT" got closer "IT" noticed we were looking at "IT" and winked and blew us a kiss. Well when "IT" got close enough I noticed "HIS" adams apple I nearly lost my lunch and forever lost my need to check out the scenery at the RIVER.

:D.....Yep...I agree.
That's why you need to get those special sunglasses with the protective coating that blocks that stuff out. I think they call it "Cowblock". It cost a little more but it's worth it.

If they didn't see that picture in the half an hour that it was up, then they won't even know.
Besides, they don't like me anyway, I think I promised to ban them from the Classic back when they got out of line with you.

I don't regret banning Terril from my event(s), he was way out of line.
One person asked me if I would have let him play if he showed up, I answered probably yes, but only if he made a public apology for being such an *****.
I'm surprised he is not on the Norman board crying about states only being 2 rounds.

So what your saying is that if we from this area havn't helped in the work of your courses we basically don't deserve the support from you guys in our event?I realize the importance of the work on the courses in your area(I REALLY do)I've been bustin my hump just gettin one redesigned.BUT,Do realize we have in some way or another been supportive in your cause. If I were to bail out on a work day(Which i'd not do if I were in your area. You know that Wise)I'd be checkin out the most wicked little course in the state of AR.Sanctioned or not Alma Greens will deliver the best golf for that weekend.(Support the cause BTW,Just not the weekend)Do like me,Finish your work,Then relax and play.(I swear UPS just delivered to tourney Discs,FIRST EVER disc with Popeye on it.) Later.

Right now Tom I'm not giving support to any event, local, or out of State. The fundraiser event in Tulsa, I will send a donation, but keep in mind this place is a local sponsor and can help us in the future. Truthfully, I would rather the local players come and help us bust our hump for the rest of June so that we can be finished and everyone can get a few weeks of practice before the event.
What some of the locals miss is the fact that these courses will be here for years to come and we need them working instead of playing right now.
The Arkansas crew has been an imense help to us, thanks to Watson, Ganzel and Bailley. It is sad that about 20% of our work force is from out of State and when we are out busting our humps for their courses, their out playing. :(
You will see me in your neck of the woods after Worlds sometime. Trust me, I'll be down for making you feel humble. Code:

:D:D

Yeah I hear ya.Some people would rather complain than to be a part of it.I'm looking forward to being able to play the new courses in Tulsa.See if these people would help out we could all go out and play a round or two.I say we make the entry fee more if your local and don't help out.Or we just give you enough ***** to make you step up or bail .I know of ONE who loves to stir it up and whine.Too bad,They usually fade in time anyway. The true golfer not only plays,They promote as well.Winners are among us Senior Wise,On and off the field. Can't wait to be humbled once again. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Senior Wise
Is that a comment on age, or an attempt on the word "senor"?

If most of the work has been done at Haikey, according to Wayne all we need to do is pour the 5 tee pads and we are done. If that's the case, we may all be able to play the event. ;)
