Just made an executive decision as the State Coordinator and have found a new home for 9 of our old baskets that were replaced by new equipment as part of True Growth Program.

Course #15 in our area will be a 9 hole course located at the SAND SPRINGS Jr High school. Just rec'd conformation that the school agreed and was very excited about getting the baskets. We still need to refurbish the baskets but I would expect to see the baskets in the ground within the next few months.

What school is it at? I can't think of a school that has enough room. Or is it in addition to Ray Brown, and located at the HIGH School?

The land is what us Sandites would refer to as Clyde Boyd. I would guess that the holes would be somewhere close to the walking trail.

This is a good location for some holes. Every sixth, seventh and eight grader (approx. 1200 kids between the ages of 11 and 14) in Sand Springs go to school at this campus and there is Pratt (3rd thru 5th) that is located on the same grounds.

Please realize, the majority of these holes that go in on grade school land will not be very difficult and they should not be so you do not need acres and acres of land. If you want to make your game better then go to Mohawk if you want to get some more exposure for disc golf then go play Clyde Boyd.

If there is any help needed with this project just let me know because as you know my kids go to school in Sand Springs and I know quite a few of the teachers and administrators in the school district. Not to mention, my kids would benefit from this course.

Thanks to my kids, I know most of the teachers and admins too, unfortuantely not for the same reasons. :o:D

I think the problem started when I told the principle he couldn't handle a job in the real world. :o

Very well said Jose....This course will be more educational than even recreational. It will definatly not be a Championship course, cuz it will mostly be used by kids.

If we can get the kids introduced to the game earlier, it will only strenghten our future.
