I know some of you have questions about the Challenge. I also realize that the PDGA website was linking people to our 2005 website. I believe that has been corrected now. I apologize. We were having update issues on our old site. There is a new one now. http://groups.msn.com/TheGreaterDesMoinesChallenge/_whatsnew.msnw
You can access the registration on the Documents page. We didn't get set up for on-line registrations. We hope to offer that by next year, maybe even by The Open late this summer.

Hope to see you Memorial Day weekend!

Well, here's the poop on why the registration list isn't on the PDGA website: until last night, I didn't know it was possible. By then, I decided I had way too much going now to worry about that. I've been updating it on my site, my TD report and another spreadsheet as well. I figure I'll cut myself some slack and put it on the list of things to do / do differently next year.

Funny, Vic just asked me today if you had pre-registered yet. He decided to be a TD for me instead of playing. Still, I think he'd be up for a late afternoon round on Friday if you are here in time.

So are the course pars set correctly for the online scores for this event? Three over-1000 rounds at three over doesn't seem right...

I'm assuming you've never played the courses in Des Moines, they're very demanding.

Also, I'm in southern MN and weather.com shows winds here of 25mph with gusts of 42mph! So I can see why a +3 is 1000 rated today and yesterday was almost as windy as it is today.

Had a fun weekend really enjoyed the courses even though I didn't shot that great. I knew I was due for it sooner or later and that last round will showed it if I could have shot like that the others probably would have looked better overall. Thanks again for everyone who helped with the tournaments and I hope to make it back some time.

Scooter,
Be safe on the road and rock on the field. DM was awesome. Courses completely sculted. Tough and relenless as evident by scores.

Peace and very tired but smiling ear to ear. Completely 4 way tough courses. :) :)

The courses play tough to begin with, but the weather was a huge factor this weekend. Saturday was rainy and moderately windy. Today it was just flat out windy. Easily gusts in the 40's with a consistent 25-30 mph swirling wind.

Well I shot like crap my first 3 rounds so I can't say much about that. But if you can come shot better than a +9 in the wind that we had during the 4th round at P I would honestly shocked. I mean you look 3 people shot better with me I tied with 4 others and then beat everyone else. Thats at +9 doesnt that tell you that it had to be pretty windy.

Congrats to all the winners! and thank you to all who helped organize this event. Tina you did a good job for your rookie event. Thanks.

It was windy, but par for most of those courses is 57-58. Pickard has at least 2 par 4's and a par 5.
Ewing had 4 par 4's.
Walnut had a par 4 and a par 5.
And the freak was long at big creek so that's a par 56.
