OK HERE IS MY ONE AND ONLY REPLY ON THIS THREAD.
Yes the SSSS 2 is the first weekend in May.
Bonez is ruuning it.
I am NOT in any way associated with this tournament.
Thats not to say it will or will not be a good tournament. The Date was kinda determined without the input from others around here. Ron "Ronk" Kirik and Kat will be on their Honeymoon. That means Chuckster will have to be at Fins Furs and Feathers on Sat.(Kat is the store Mgr) I and my wife have prior engagements for the weekend. So thats four out of the five main people who helped last year not going to be able to this year . The Sanford pottery festival is also that weekend which brings about 75,000 to a 100,000 people to the area around OT Sloan. And Last but not least its the same weekend as A'ville. Some of suggested to have it another weekend but to no avail.
I am sure Bonez will run a good tournament,(He always finds a way). So If you have not already planned to go to the Mtn's then come on down. Hopefully next year Ronk and I will be back in the fold.
BTW I am in no way speaking for Ron and Chuck, I am Just speaking for myself
Just please do not associate me with this years tourney.
Thanks
Travis

Yeah where is the info? Me and some of the Kinston crowd are planning on making it. Last years tourney was my first PDGA event and I had a great time. It is a nice little course and there were some cool peeps in Sanford.

hour and ten minutes.... tops! :D
Can I put in a request? Please start the tourny about 20 minutes late. That will give my slow self time to warm up.
I don't think I have ever made it to Sanford for a tourny with time to spare. :o

Are there still spots open for this tourney?? I can get $$s in quick if there are. If someone in the know, could let me know, that'd be great.

There will be 2 (Scotty and Stew) from Greenville coming in Friday night and we can't wait to play this weekend. I am looking forward to a fun weekend on a course that is new to me. See everyone this weekend.

i like to call this course ECU west - its scary how similar these two courses are.
Front portion is wooded and short. Then all of the sudden your in the open throwing some long holes with a few easy holes in there. There is one picturess hole, 16 is really tough, 17 is a straight to hyzer hole trough woods then 18 is short and simple. Really freaked me out the first time I played it.

I can see where you're coming from on this one. I've only played ECU a couple of times, but to me one of the biggest differences is that at Sanford on some of the slightly trickier doglegs it's easier to see where the line is the first time you get to it. Other than that the type and difficulty of the challenges the courses present is very similar.

Thanks to the Sanford crew for putting up a tournament - the payout in all divisions was AWESOME and there was a good vibe at the tournament - most creative way to give out an ace pool I've seen!
Congrats to Cracken for defending and Grasse for finally getting a win

There isn't enough rain to dampen a great weekend of disc golf. I didn't shoot a great this weekend but I learned some things along the way. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to Bones and Chuck for putting on the event. I enjoyed seeing a lot of friends this weekend and look forward to seeing you again in Kinston.
